whistling stones are remnants of the fifth age, in which the planet was scoured by storm for thousands and thousands of years. this cataclysm wiped out the empires of the ancient godkings, the demiurges, and inscribed in stones primordial screams. 

as the wind passes through it, it makes a long low-pitched, metallic sound. the two wanderers (Kubo and Jinora) ready their weapons. they know soon their predators will come.

records of planet green 🌍 to walk a patchwork world

The ground beneath your feet moves in liquid-like patterns. The horizon slides through the landscape, and the mountains breathe, and even cities slide through the earth. This is a chaotic and connected planet. Something violent and yet, fragile. Here we observe the cycle of life and death - the rythm of living things, and the layers of this planet. This is a reincarneted world, in which civilization keeps going on the rubble of a magical war. Everything's changed. The world won't ever be the same again, as a river never flows the same way twice.

Thus, in order to thrive, it's the challenge of all living beings to embrace constant change.

To also never be the same again.

It should come as no surprise that Hell is complicated. As the passage of time left its mark on both the Mortal and Spirit Realms, evolution followed suit. Castles were demolished to make room for military bases, witches and emperors became scientists and presidents, and folk heroes of the past became the celebrities of the present, yet as the world fell and rose time and time again, wrath persisted.

There is one language that the Tohri speak most fluently above all others: Lies. Little white lies. Lies sweet and tender. Lies too outrageous to be false. They are master manipulators and diplomats who have managed to survive by coercing, deceiving, and intimidating other denizens to do their bidding. They have mastered the art of conning people of their money, respect, honor, power, love, and even their lives. While not as physically imposing as other demons, their strength lies in their cunning and silver tongue.

Most creatures in this world go through life without concerning themselves with more than just survival. Humans are different, evolving past simple survival instincts and choosing to live their lives as they see fit. Most humans live their lives based on the whims of their own emotions, and the Concubi are a dark reflection of the strongest emotions of humanity. Of all of the emotions expressed by humanity, Lust is among the most powerful, and it’s easily the most corrupting. Lust represents more than just sexual desires; every intimate feeling, every excess, every moan, and every hushed whisper. More than anything else, Humanity is consumed by Lust. - Intro on the Concubi
