Please remember to register to vote and if, like me, you're going to be away when the election happens please also remember to apply for a postal or proxy vote. I know, when you're travelling, it's a faff finding somewhere to print off the proxy vote form, but we've all seen the stats about the number of young people who don't vote, and how much of a difference we can make if we do this time. When you eventually get home to find the NHS has been sold off and you have to pay for a doctors appointment you'll feel rubbish if you didn't do anything to try to stop the Tories. Alternatively, if by some miracle, Theresa May doesn't get in, you'll feel great if you were one of the people who stopped her! Context to to the picture, I saw a comment on someone elses politically based FB status the other day that was along the lines of "There's much worse poverty around the world, no one in the UK knows what real poverty means" and it reminded me of this @perkiemusic song lyric. Poverty in the UK will get worse under another Tory government, please please help try to stop them. #UKpolitics #generalelection #fuckthetories #stopthetories #toryscum #jc4pm #jeremycorbyn #politics #handdrawntype #handlettering #lettering

Here are just a few promises the Tory’s made in the run up to the 2015 election that have now been broken. - Boost mental health funding - Protect schools funding - Ban wild animals in circuses - 3 days volunteering leave to those full time workers - Cap residential social care charges by April 2016 - Introduce a new victims law for victims of crime - Improve welfare with new universal credit system - Ensure the NHS has staff to meet patients needs - Electrify north rail routes
It’s kinda crazy being in another country when a snap general election has been called back home. I don’t know what I can do to change the current predictions that the Conservatives will win (other than apply for a postal vote). So to try and get some rage out I made this poster, and felt like Brian from Spaced in the process.
Posting it on here because I know hardly anyone will see it, but at least it’s out there. Maybe I’ll have the courage to post it on Facebook next week.

So I've been kinda keeping a travel blog, if anyone is interested...I'm super far behind because uploading all the photos takes about 15 minutes for each post, but hopefully I'll catch up sometime soon. My writing skills are lacking somewhat so it might make for a horrible read, but you can find out exactly what I've been up to every single day...
Day 17 - 9th September 2016
Today we travelled to Bangalore in a pretty warm bus. At the bus station in Mysore there were 2 buses going the way we wanted, we weren’t sure which was the best to get so ended up jumping on the one which had a lady outside selling tickets because it looked in slightly better condition and therefore might be a bit faster? (not sure if that’s completely logical in India, but hey!)

Some good fool proof graphic design tips that have got me far!

Me and H.B. were both in the same design class at A level. I remember one particular lesson where one of our teachers decided to teach how to do fool proof good graphic design in 6 simple steps.
I think this was the worse lesson in design i have ever had.

New concept: instead of being given insect repellent when you're going off travelling, chemists should rent out friendly road Geckos that'll sit on your shoulder/by your side at all times, and eat the pesky insects that would otherwise be sucking your blood.

I don't know if you've seen this but I think it's what people are referring to - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diMp241gAcw there's a better version somewhere that's a bit longer and shows how strange and out of context it is but I can't find it right now...
What if Donald Trump’s entire presidential campaign is just an attempt to change the incest laws so that he can legally bang his own daughter?

Final day of holiday and we’re in Munich. The weather is 33°C so yesterday we went and floated down the river in the English Garden, ironically named because I’m not sure anyone would either want or be allowed to float down a river in England.

Bled, Slovenia, has been lovely. While we’ve been here there’s been an international music festival on with free performances every night. We saw a Sardinian 4 piece choir, Irish duo, Big Daddy Wilson from America all in the castle on Friday and Saturday. For the past couple of days Dan’s friends from uni have been here too, on Saturday we hired a boat, Dan tried to catch a fish with his hands and we did the tobogan run. Yesterday we climbed a very steep hill and got some amazing views of the lake. Walking home last night we heard someone playing the fiddle, when we went to check it out we found the irish duo from the castle doing a very intimate set in a small bar! We stayed and made some friends and were told that they’d be playing there again tonight. One more day here before we’re off to Villach and then on to Munich.

Dan decided he really wanted to stroke a sparrow today so we fed a few of them some crisps to see if they would come near us...before we knew it word got out in the local sparrow community, soon we had a whole flock of sparrows at our feet and looked like crazy bird people.
