This was inspired by the magician tarot card bc someone in the zine server said the first sketch I drew reminded them of it with the Bride's arms raised like that so I just went with it and added more details!

The veins are the flowers at the top, I made a DNA helicase look like the roman numeral I, and the toe tag is the tarot card title!

I wanted Herbert to be presenting the Bride for Dan and for Dan to be reaching for Meg's heart, because that's what got him in the beginning. That's what Bride tore out of herself for him.

I learned so much about value and clothing folds and working with black and white! It was definitely a challenge but so worthwhile! Very proud of this one :-)
