I’ve been pronouncing it Chris-sauce-toe-moe

Crisostomo himself isn't picky with how it's pronounced. Esther is.

It's a specific regional pronunciation, which is why they're so particular about it. It's the name they gifted to their digimon, after all (Fun Fact: it was almost Esther's own name).

But since Crisostomo doesn't mind how it's pronounced, Esther just has to stew in their own annoyance.

Excalibur Umbra towers over the Drifter and Operator menacingly.

Operator: Uh, hi, Ama, I’m back. Were you worried?

Umbra: (incomprehensible scribbling in dialogue bubble)

Drifter: Another friend of yours, kid? Looks pissed.

Operator: Y-yeah he’s another warframe but he’s, um...Ama, he’s gonna be with us just for a bit. He’s safe, ok? We can trust this person.

Drifter: Wait...”Ama”?

Panel 1: Excalibur Umbra bends down to growl at the Drifter up close. The Drifter looks up at Umbra, unperturbed while the Operator hides behind the Drifter.

Panel 2: The Drifter walks past Umbra with a wink. The Operator looks on with a worried look like he’s about to get scolded.

Drifter: I got him home safe and sound, didn’t I? And before curfew! You can relax, daddio.

Panel 3: The Operator hugs Excalibur Umbra around the waist. Umbra has his hands on the Operator’s shoulders in a fatherly way. On the right side of the panel, the Drifter talks with Ordis.

Operator: He’s good, ok? He’s on our side. Took care of the Lotus for us. Oh guts...I have a lot of explaining to do...

Drifter: How long till we reach the camp?

Ordis: Just 2 hours after we achieve warp. Traffic notwithstanding.

Crisostomo actually goes from Luxmon>Angemon so the jump in body appearance wasn't as huge as from Patamon. Here's more Crisostomo in his rookie form.

Esther also goes through appearance changes in between visits to the Digital World. Between the two of them, change is surprising but expected. They have a way to recognize each other every time.
