It was no surprise when the other boy came up. Serph’s senses picked up on the speedy kid quite some time ago so he knew Kazemaru was coming.

“If you think it’s Serph then you’re right.” He chimed…. which sounded rather interesting in the demon’s rough voice.

After a pause, he stood up and transformed back to ‘human’. Veins glowing as bone and muscle shifted. The glow traveled through his whole body and stopped at the 'tattoo’ on his cheek.

“I…. am not sure what else to say. If what I am bothers you, I can leave. There will be no hard feelings.” Though he’d miss them but if they wanted him to go, he would.

Serph, or rather, ‘Varna’, tilted his head as he listened to the boy’s story. It certainly sounded odd but, luckily, not as bad as it could be if the demons he knew of had captured them. He was certain they’d eat the children without remorse.

“That certainly sounds like it was quite the predicament…. I am glad you all got through it safely.” There was sincerity in his gravelly tone as he said that.

“Endou…. I promise I would never intentionally harm you or the others.” Claws lightly scraped the earth as the demon paused in thought. It was probably for the best if he was completely truthful here…. “I….. can be dangerous, however. If I do not eat I can lose myself to the hunger. Demons like me can only feel sated by very particular food…. So that is why I went out on my own, I was going to catch some food before I ended up getting too hungry.”

“Oh, uh!”

Well…that was different, and Endou kind of faltered a bit for a moment. Serph didn’t seem dangerous but…? What the other was saying now was enough to set even his nerves off at least a little bit. He should’ve listened to Kazemaru for certain before. Still…he did his best not to show it.

Of course, before he could say much more it was then that the friend in question came trotting up, reaching to grab Endou quickly and pull him back.

“What is– I told you to stay put, you ran off in the middle of practice this time even! Were you that worried…?” Wary though his gaze was on the creature that had seemingly been conversing with Endou, Kazemaru didn’t make any sudden movements aside from pulling the soccer captain away moments before.

“…That isn’t who I think it is, is it…?” He asked in a cautious tone.

Pascal’s tail swished tentatively at the stranger as all three of his eyes trained on him before flicking to attention at the other demon.

After a moment he let the ball fall from him mouth, surprisingly undamaged. Though it was covered in slobber.

“I DO WANT TO PLAY, YES! HOW DO YOU PLAY THIS GAME?” The canine spoke with great enthusiasm, tail wagging faster as he did so.

Pascal was trotting along, tongue lolling out against a doggy grin as he advanced. It was a very nice day and the demonic canine seemed to be greatly enjoying it. He, of course, wasn’t the only one. Some soccer players seemed to be taking advantage of the nice weather, playing what looked like a practice match.

The hellhound didn’t know a lot about sports. All he knew was that when he saw a fast moving object he felt the urge to chase it! Bounding forward at a lightning pace, he clamped jaws around a soccer ball. Completely interrupting the match.
