     "I've been here for almost 3 months, so I suppose you can say my family and I are decently new.” Was it truly obvious that she wasn’t from around here? She supposed that it was could be because their trend topic, that may have had a lot to do with it. He had said ‘too’ though, so how long had he been living there? “How long have you been in town for?”

     “That’s good that you have someone to keep you in the loop, even if they aren’t from around here. Small towns don’t really get the memo until its about the end of it, and then something new starts.”  Not that she really cared too much about them anyway. It’s not like she knew what she was wearing to begin with half the time any way, so it never really crossed her mind to even try to keep with it. All she knew was her stuff matched, so that’s all that mattered.

     If she was going to be completely honest, Char could understand his feelings about certain holiday trends. She had heard a few people talking about Christmas already, and there were still a little over two months until that even came around. Although, she wasn’t really one to stomp on people’s ambitions and excitement, but she knew exactly where he was coming from here. 

     “As far as fashion trends, or anything to do with appearances goes, I’m probably the wrong person to ask about that. I’m not exactly sure since I’ve never actually seen how people dress. But as far as major things, I can’t exactly argue with you there.” She mused, leaning against the back of the bench.  

“I guess that means you must be pretty new to Den City then, too?”

Takeru had missed the obvious in the others’ comment though or he probably would’ve pointed out the quirk. ‘Never being able to see’ how people dressed was a weird way to put not being familiar with the fashion trends, but obviously the reply wasn’t obvious enough for Takeru to pick up on.

“But to be honest, I’m not really that up on all the fashion trends around here either. The place I was living in before I moved here wasn’t this big, so trends moved a lot slower there, I guess. I have a friend back home who keeps up with them-” But Takeru? No way.

     Well, so much for a quick trip to the store. Dylan had a few things he had to pick up, and he ended up dragging Char along with him for an extra hand. They were pretty close to being done, or they would have been, had he not gotten distracted by all the Halloween decorations they had out. After spotting them, he ended up ditching having her hang out on one of the benches outside so he could have a look.

     Char had heard the other speak, however, she wasn’t exactly sure if it had been to her or more so for themselves. So not to end up being rude, she figured it was better just to say something. “I have to agree, it is a little premature. But I suppose it gives people something to look forward to. No harm in that,right?”

“Yeah…” 

It wouldn’t have been that bad except Takeru was one of the few that didn’t seem to look forward to Halloween. He’d come to like the treat part of the holiday, but not so much the trick side. Ghosts and anything relating to them just weren’t his thing and seeing the early decorations in the streets just made him want to avoid it that much more.

“But then, I guess Den City’s always been ahead of everything, too. It’s so big that the newest trends always seem start here first, don’t they?”
