An Unbelievable New Book

The Unbelievable Oliver and the Four Jokers appears May 2019. You can preorder now!
Amazon Barnes & Noble Indiebound
Eight-year-old Oliver dreams of being a professional magician, even though he has terrible stage fright. And now, his friends Teenie and Bea have gotten him invited to a classmate's birthday party as the paid entertainment! Desperate for help, he visits The Great Zoocheeni's Magic Emporium, but comes away with nothing more than a moth-eaten top hat.
Oliver is in for a lucky surprise, though. Inside that top hat hides a wisecracking rabbit named Benny, who agrees to help Oliver with his act. But at the party, Oliver is accused of robbery! He'll need to solve the mystery of the missing robo-cat to clear his name before he and Benny can amaze the crowd with their grand finale.

Reader Mail
Internet access is spotty in my remote outpost, cave, cloud fortress, office; but Quiche is pretty good at catching messages off the wire and telegramming them back to this undisclosed location.
You can email at [email protected]. Replies depend on the amount of chocolate you’re offering.
Most letters fall into a few types: fan mail, hate mail, ciphers, and teens looking back at their distant youth.
Here’s one now:

Transcript:
Hello, Pseudonymous Bosch:
My name is Xxxxxxx and I've been a fan of your works since I was just a kid, so I wanted to write you some fan mail to let you know how much I appreciate your writing! (I don't know if this email is intended strictly for inquiries or other things of a professional nature, but if that is the case, I'm very sorry.)
I remember reading the first book in your Secret series when I was just XXXXX or XXXX years old, and I fell in love immediately. Your writing made me develop a huge appreciation for books. Even though I'd never been much of a reader in the past, your series made me experience a sense of excitement, mystery, and interest that I'd never felt before. And I've loved reading and writing ever since.
I'm XX years old now, but lately I've been thinking back to when I was younger and the feeling of thrills I got from your books. I even bought the first novel in your Bad Books series just the other day, because I wanted to relive some of the joy I got from reading your stories for the first time. And even though it's been XXXX since I've read the books in your Secret series, I can't help but feel a sense of childlike glee every time I see a reference to it in Bad Magic. I couldn't help but smile when I read the "How 'bout that" in the story's introduction.
Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for writing the series that made me develop such a deep love for reading. You're a huge role model of mine because you're not only a talented author, but also such an inspiring and sincere person. I hope one day I can write novels that make people feel as amazed and inspired as yours have made me :) Thanks for all the good times.
~ Your biggest secret fan, Xxxxxxx

Also Known As

My nom de plume protects me from enemies as numerous as they are mysterious
By Pseudonymous Bosch
Read my piece in the New York Times Book Review
”But in the end, everyone must emerge from the wardrobe, no matter how wonderful the world inside. Writers, too. Like our readers, we’ve had fun pretending to be other people, and learned something about ourselves in the process.”
