Entertainment Spotlight: Katrina Law, Hawaii Five-0

This year actress Katrina Law joined the cast of CBS’ award winning action/drama series Hawaii Five-0, now in its 10th season. Katrina was most recently seen starring as Karen Beach alongside Sean Bean and Ryan Kwanten in Sony Crackle’s The Oath, a role she held for two seasons. She also continues to recur as Nyssa Al Ghul, a fan favorite on the CW’s Arrow. Additional notable credits including a series regular role on Training Day for CBS and starring as Mira on the critically acclaimed STARZ series Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Vengeance. Katrina took the time to answer some of our burning questions. Check it out:

If you could have a conversation with any character that you’ve played in the past, who would you talk to and what would you talk about?

I would have a long in depth chat with Mira from Spartacus about Spartacus and her love for him. That man, while stunningly beautiful and heroic and loving towards her in the best way he knew how to be, did not treat her right!!! I would talk to her about falling in love with men who were emotionally available.

Do you have any fun facts about the filming of Hawaii Five-0 that fans would be surprised to know?

Most of our moving cars scenes, while filmed inside of an actual car, are filmed inside of a studio.

If a theme song played whenever you entered a room, what song would it be?

Staying Alive by the Bee Gees.

Do you have a favorite character arc from this season of Hawaii Five-0?

I’m quite stoked to see Junior and Tani coming close to sealing the deal. Those two belong together and I wish they would just kiss already!

And everything to do with Eddie is also awesome.

What did you do with your free time on set?

I wanna say something sexy like making origami out of hundies or eating Cheetos with chopsticks while watching Ian Anthony Dale do pushups, but alas, you can usually find me either pumping or sewing the latest costume creation for my baby.

Do you have a personal motto or mantra?

Get it while you can and get it while it’s good.

Lighting round! Describe each of the following: Who you are, what you value the most, and what you’d be if you were a food item.

- It’s a question I ask myself every day.

- My family.

- I think I’m a toss-up between a coconut and a hard shelled taco.
