The different ways that many writers choose to report their research and to express their many ideas obviously result from a large variety of social factors and psychological factors. Most crucially, however, rhetorical identity is influenced by the writer’s background and therefore the issue of rhetorical identity becomes more intricate for students who are familiar with intellectual traditions which may be very different intellectual traditions from those intellectual traditions practiced in English academic contexts. Therefore, while Anglo-American academic conventions encourage a conscious exploitation of authorial identity to manage the reader’s awareness of the author’s role and the author’s viewpoint, L2 writers from other cultures may be reluctant to promote an individual self.
The message here for teachers is that we need to be aware of how academic conventions position students and we need to be sensitive to the struggles of those novice writers seeking to reconcile the discursive identities of their home and of their disciplinary cultures. This tentativeness and reluctance to display an authoritative persona among Asian writers may, in part, be a product of a culturally and of a socially constructed view of self, which makes making assertion difficult. It is equally possible, however, that native English speaking students also experience very similar problems when entering university. Teachers have an important consciousness raising task to make sure that students understand the rhetorical options available to them and to make sure that students understand the effects of manipulating these options for interactional purposes. With this, rhetorical understanding, our learners will be better able to gain control over their writing and they will be better able to meet the challenges of participating in academic genres in a second language.

Hemansha Peiris has been found experiencing an exponential growth in her interest towards dinosaurs.
INTRODUCTION:
Hemansha Peiris, born to a quiet family in the buzzling city of Colombo, is known for being vocal about her admiration towards the prehistoric organisms known as Dinosaurs. Her curiosity towards the subject in question can be dated back to the twenty-first century and roughly to the year 2012, when she was subjected to the popular film "Jurassic Park".
The film itself was inspired by a novel written by author Michael Crichton and published in the year 1990 (Samornell, 2014). Jurassic Park is known for being one of the first productions to introduce the concept of dinosaurs to an audience at a large scale, featuring what many consider to be brilliant cinematography, excellent casting and, of course, animatronics that portray these ancient creatures in a visually thrilling and believable manner.
In this essay, we will explore the way in which the introduction to this blockbuster acted as a kickstarter for a chain of events which further established this obsession in her mind.

What Makes You Employable?
It is my opinion that the employability of a person depends on several aspects of the individual. Aside from technical skills and experiences that a person may carry, their personality, work ethic and the way they carry themselves amongst others as a member of society need to be taken into account as well. Without one skill, the other is often fruitless.
As of now, I am studying as a student, and is expecting to enter the field of design and animation. I believe that I am employable in this field due to the knowledge I have gained during my educational journey. I am proficient in digital art software such as Photoshop and Autodesk Sketchbook and Krita. I've acquired a significant amount of knowledge in industry standard software such as Maya, Zbrush, Unreal Engine and Premier pro.
Considering personal skills, I believe that I am good at conducting research, and meaningful designs and stories. I also believe that I'm methodical, organized and good at managing my workload, and meeting all the required deliverables within the deadline. I'm good at carrying my weight in a group setting and working as a mediator. I'm also good at adapting to obstacles that I face especially when it comes to software. I'm open to learning and educating myself and developing new skills and techniques.
