This is the original positive mold for our concrete incense burners. It’s made from a high density urethane tooling blank that is specifically made for cnc machining (thanks to @advancedretentionsystems for sending me a sample). While it’s meant for backend tooling that the customer never sees, I actually love the look of it and am going to start offering incense burners made from this material for sale. Each one has a unique marbled surface when sanded smooth. They are heat resistant, will never shrink or warp, and are completely void free. First time doing any sort of bent lamination today. It went pretty well. At least I think! We’ll see how it went once I get it out of the clamps. This will be part of the apron on the walnut coffee table I’m in the process of making. The aprons will follow the curves of the top.
