I thought I’d reconnected with the Glenn from this timeline when we first got into this whole multiverse but it wasn’t actually this timeline’s Glenn I don’t think? And it doesn’t matter anyway because I haven’t spoken to him in ages… and my Glenn is already running a rescue mission so I could keep my promise to Birdie- and he might have to fight my dad- and I- Jodie’s so busy with hell and… we aren’t close anymore apparently…he didn’t even invite me to his wedding… I can’t ask him to do this…

He turns his head just a bit, so he can see Mercedes even though she’s mostly obscured because his arms and hair are in the way.

This is my fault…Sparrows been forcing Hero into training for years… starting while I was away…I could of stopped it… I could have stopped him…

Who else is there? I can’t make her understand- I love her so much, I’m not choosing Normal over her but she’s safe at home and he’s in real danger- if I don’t rejoin the fight I’m condemning Normal- how can I live with that? What kind of person can send a kid to take their place-

Henry manages to get the leftovers from the fridge but that’s about the maximum of it before he completely breaks down in the kitchen. He shakily drops down into a chair burying his face in his hands and trying desperately not to think about how awful the situation is. But he can’t… he can’t not think about how much he’s failed his family. How if he’d been a better father Sparrow would never have sent children into battle…How if he’d never returned Birdie wouldn’t be experiencing panic attacks directly linked to his dying words… how much he’s ruined the lives of everyone around him….how much he’s hurt everyone he loves…

He can’t look at either of them… there was no one else…. No one was going to help Normal and his friends if he didn’t… and now he had to make a choice, between keeping his grandson from potentially dying and breaking his entire relationship with his daughter and wife. It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair at all but this wasn’t anyones fault but his own, his cursed bloodline that doomed earth to start with, his cursed bloodline that brought the doodler here … that connected Willy to the forgotten realms and enabled him to kidnap the kids in the first place… all of it was his fault… he couldn’t just let Normal pay for it… but it was breaking Birdie and Mercedes… he was breaking them… and Birdie was right… Maybe it would have been better if he… if he’d stayed missing the first time… stayed on earth and put an end to this…maybe then Sparrow wouldn’t have broken Hero… and Birdie would have never seen a battlefield…. He swallows thickly.

I should… heat up those leftovers.

He quietly excuses himself back to the kitchen. His family would be better off…

I have to…. There’s no one else who will…. I thought I could trust the boys with this- they told me they were taking care of it and it was fine and now- now I know what they’ve really done- It is not fine and it’s my fault for leaving it to them in the first place! Mercedes if Normal and his friends are on earth they’re in real danger… this isn’t… this isn’t something we can just close our eyes and ignore!
