And it seems to legitimately have some kind of speech pattern, with inflection possibly informing meaning.

It's not just "ga ga pi" repeated over and over, there are repeating syllables and multiple combinations, like "ga ga ga pi ga!" with the emphasis on "pi" in that sentence.

It straight up has a genuine linguistic basis, lmao
