Summer Solstice is nearing!
For those hearing about it for the first time: summer solstice is the longest day of the year! There's a scientific explanation for that, which I will not get into ... but anyways! There are two summer solstices in a year: once in southern hemisphere (around june 20-21), and once the northern hemisphere (around december 21). Just googling "summer solstice" should show which day it falls on for you specifically. (This also means that, even if it's nearing for me, it might still be all the way in december for you.)
Besides being the longest day, it also marks the official beginning of the summer! While it was celebrated by ancient Greeks, it's not specifically a Hellenic holiday. It is, however, still celebrated / marked as an important day by lots of polytheists (and other practicers / believers)! But in the end it's up to you really, whether you wanna do something special for it or not.
Since it's not a Hellenic holiday, it also does not have a Deity connected to it. Which means, it's completely up to you on who you think is or could be associated with it! Perhaps you find that multiple Gods are associated with it, and if so, you could focus on Them all that day! Or only one, whatever feels more right.
You could spend the day meditating, making offerings and libation, writing prayers or poems, listening to playlists specifically make for said God(s), ect! If you're unsure what to do, you could also google offering ideas and such online.
Unfortunally I have an exam monday so I won't be able to spend the day focused on summer solstice (I've got to study all day), but this will be my first summer solstice as a Hellenic Pagan, sooo I will try to make an offering to Aphrodite and perhaps Selene or Apollon!

Okay wow I'm getting likes & followers without having any posts yet-
I forgot to address this but, I did not think about summer vacation properly while starting this blog, so the plan is to have tumblr automatically post my finished drafts once in a while while I am away for 6-ish weeks. (AKA I'm gonna schedule those posts at random times & dates.)
That way you guys don't have to wait, and all that, before I'm back !! Which also means that you shouldn't expect a post in the next 2ish weeks, because I'm gonna need all that time to write as many drafts as I can.
Okay my yapping is done. I promise to not let you guys down with my posts & that I actually ment it when I said that I'll explain everything from the beginning, so everyone has a place to start!
Also summer solstice is in 11 days or so, I'll have a post about it by then, hopefully :> (Since this will be my first summer solstice as a pagan aswell! So having a post dedicated to it right before the day would be cool, I think!)

Quick question for those coming across my blog & deciding to follow, I already have a few things in mind/drafts about what to talk about/post, but, is there anything I should cover from the start?
Like, something you think is important to know as a new believer/worshipper or something you don't understand / would like to know more about?

Blog Introduction
SIDE NOTE: I'm currently inactive, though I do have a few posts scheduled to send every week until I'm back so no worries! I won't be able to reply if you reach out to me for the time being.
Hi ! I'm Aiden, though I do go by many other names, and I'm a Hellenic Pagan (or Polytheist, as what most use as a label)!
So the main focus of the blog will be on, the base level of everything. Like, the very beginning, so it can be like a help-out to newer worshippers of the Theoi (Greek Gods). (And then slowly building up to deeper topics.)
Back to me, to keep it short: I grew up my entire life with Islam (everyone close to me is a Muslim, basically), but I'm a worshipper of the Theoi ( Greek Gods ) since september 2024. Going from a religion like that to Hellenic paganism was well, a lot different? So I struggled with it heavily + many resources I found weren't really for very very new believers. So that's why this exists now!!
Also, I'm an Aphrodite devotee + worshipper of Selene, Apollon & Poseidon (though I try to worship & honor all the Gods, whenever I am able to).
Also this blog will 100% help me too, with connecting better with Them & learning more, as I'll be researching a loooot so I can give accurate information. It's a win-win situation, yk?
Also, always feel free to reach out! Either through the ask box or through DMs, I don't mind !!
