Hunter’s father is very high up in the US military, bouncing the family around from state to state until Hunter was about twelve. Hunter was always expected to take these unexpected changes in stride and without complaint. Along with this, his father’s strict upbringing of his kids made Hunter a quiet and confident leader, which is what made him excel in military school.It wasn’t ever really a choice about whether Hunter wanted to be in the military or not. It was just part of his dad’s big expectations. He completed his high school years excelling in military school and went straight into basic training after that. He was pretty much set, until late in training, when Hunter tore his ACL and was forced back home. Hunter was finally in a position where he had to figure out what he wanted, instead of following the military career that had been placed in front of him.

A quiet confidence served Hunter well when he found an interest in culinary arts. A few years of cooking and pastry school got him certified as a chef, and has held down a few jobs in that area since then. He rarely speaks to his father since basic training was a bust, but that doesn’t bother Hunter that much. He’s finally found some semblance of his own footing in life and he wants to ride that feeling all the way to Greece to be a chef at Kalokairi. He still has issues with his bad knee, but he doesn’t let the occasional pain or stiffness slow him down.

Hunter hasn’t held down any long-lasting serious relationships, and he thinks it’s just because he hasn’t found “the one.” He’s not really aware that it’s his lack of sexual interest and lack of awareness in his romantic attraction gets in the way of commitment (he doesn’t even know the word ‘asexual’ exists).

Hunter comes across as quiet and reserved, but exudes a confidence when you speak to him. He’s very civil to everyone but there’s also a wit inside him that can come out in the right conversation match.

Growing up Quinn and her siblings were always more privileged than most. They never worried about what they had because they always had it. They were in simplest form the ‘joneses’ because they always made those around them feel not as good. Quinn never minded it, in fact for a while she slightly abused that privilege by always keeping up to date on fashion and making sure she was always the girl that everyone wanted to have around. Over time though she was never sure if they wanted to be around her or the money.

when they moved from Chicago to Lima the girl felt weird, she was about 7 at the time and she understood what was happening though she knew she’d be fine wherever they went. Quinn always had that kind of confidence about her. When they got to Lima she felt strange, she remembered enough of the big city that the small town was a shock for her, she remembers her youngest sister Parker, having none of the move. When they got there Quinn had one request to be in ballet and cheerleading since it’s all she knew that would help her make friends.

[TRIGGER WARNING: EATING DISORDER] When Quinn was 13 she met the first guy she dated, her father was okay with it but she could tell he wasn’t happy- even if he tried to make it seem like he was. Quinn fell hard, they dated for 3 years and on the anniversary of the 3rd he broke her heart. Her mother kept telling her she was young, and first loves don’t last but she never believed a word of it. To Quinn it felt like her world was falling apart. So much that she cut a lot of her friends out, she felt like she wasn’t pretty enough and in result she stopped eating. Part of her also felt like this was the one thing she could control in her life, since her parents seemed to pick everything else for her

[TRIGGER WARNING:EATING DISORDER] Quinn kept this disorder with her for years, no one seemed to notice though, every time they went out she’d just get soup and salad and she’d always say she wasn’t hungry form school and at school she never ate. She felt like if she somehow lost weight and did more that maybe her ex would come back, he never did and by the time she was 19 she finally got help, it took her yelling at her so-called friends about how she was ‘anorexic’ whenever they’d ask her to eat more and finally after a year of it and being at college on a cheerleading scholarship she knew she had to get better because there was no sneaking it past her coach. She’s grateful everyday for the help though she feels like she’s always battling against it trying to ‘be better’. She ended up picking a major in the one field she knew she had a background with- one she could help others with the way she wished she’d been helped sooner.

After finishing college getting her masters in Nutrition and being back at home with her degree basically collecting dust on the self she felt, useless. She hated the pressure she felt everyday to find someone and get a perfect job. She felt the pressure building and herself not wanting to apply for any internships, she just felt the want and need to get out. She first left Lima and went to London, it always seemed so gorgeous and part of her wanted that ‘fall in love’ far away story, when it didn’t happen she kept going, she finally found herself in Greece, and shortly after at the gorgeous island of Kalokairi, part of her remembered Parker talking about it when Quinn was in high school and part of her thought maybe this was a sign and meant this is where she was suppose to be to find herself.
