 Claire, Samuel, and Leah's phone went off as soon as they were on the ride.       

    Does anybody feel a bit of deja vu?

We're back to where it all started. 

             It was just four years ago where the actions of one girl

             changed the world as we know it.

It's almost poetic that we ended up back here again, isn't it?

Once everybody boarded the ferris wheel and the ride was in motion, a loud metallic creak could be heard even from the top. 

The control panel started to spark and the safety controls were turned off. The ride went from spinning too fast straight to stopping to a dead halt. 

                The vigilante, the reformed man, and the traitor.

                        Let's see if any of you guys can be a hero.

                                                                                 You see,

These cars on this ride will drop one at a time starting from the bottom then working its way around around clockwise.

                              Good luck.

Goodbye For Now || Samuel, Claire & Leah

Samuel’s attention was caught by a very familiar voice. A voice he liked to hear and one he appreciated a whole lot more than a lot of voices he knew. He pried his eyes away from the ferris wheel, settling them upon Claire Bennett. For a moment, he couldn’t help but chuckle considering the whole situation and how much of a coincidence it had been that those two should meet on this night in front of the very attraction that changed both their lives. 

"Claire Bennett," he began, ignoring her question for the time being. "It seems that this wheel has a way of bringing us together and yet, had the capability to tear us apart." He simply looked at her for a moment, the memories of her at his carnival running through his head. Just as he hit the part where he buried her and her father alive, he stopped. Clearing his throat, he smiled. "I’m sad, Claire," he said, telling the truth but still maintaining his smile. "My home is…no longer my home." 

His attention was caught by the hooded figure that had stopped by next to them. Something gave him a bad feeling about this person, the fact that they had taken such an extreme measure to conceal their identity made him very dubious of them, and so he made a quick decision. 

"How about we take a ride one last time?" He offered, looking back to Claire. "For old time’s sake?" He figured that any distance between them and the mysterious lurker would be good.

Nothing gets people working together quite like a cage.

Metal bars appeared around the tent. This time there was a door on the other side where the back entrance was. Unfortunately, there was a lock on it. It’d be no fun it there wasn’t a lock. 

Well, look at this. A Protector and a Rogue.

                        This should be interesting.

Listen, your escape will come easy enough, I assure you. 

                     I'll even give you a key to help you out. 

Dangling from a trapeze bar is a small silver key.

That key is designed for our own little firefly, you see.

 The thing is that that is the only key that will ensure both of your escape.

                        The other key, however...

                will only allow for one of you to escape. 

 --And by other key, I mean the one that will show up in the stands once Tala gets her hand on the dangling key,

In simpler terms, 

               If Tala uses her key, then both of you can just leave and go about your merry ways

               If Gemma decides to go for the second key while Tala is preoccupied and use it to make her escape, then Tala will be trapped. 

                           Easy, right?

Firefly on the Wall || Gemma and Tala

Costumes, garish or deceptively normal, had never bothered Gemma in the past; they were often her favorite part of crafting a false identity with the thought she put into silhouette and shoe choice. Well, at least until she caught sight of the leotard she had been offered this morning by a grinning Nico, who had explained in great detail how it was exactly what the trapeze artists wore in their acts at the Sullivan Bros. Carnival. There were too many sequins for it to fit in any category of covert, which bothered her enough, but the fact that she could not think of any appropriate place to stash a weapon added another layer to the paranoia she adopted upon taking on anything close to Recon mission. It was, however, far better than running the Tunnel of Love, an opinion that she had made sure to repeat to Nico several times in their sarcastic banter before leaving headquarters earlier that evening.There was no guarantee that anything was going to go wrong either, that was something else she tried to remind herself as she tried to blink her false eyelashes back into place while sweeping out the entrance of the tent with a broom to pass the time.

 A darker side of her whispered the opposite almost in the same thought, that there was no guarantee that nothing would go wrong either, which made her frown as she brushed stray bits of straw off of her flame colored tights. She had taken to staring blankly out at the rest of the carnival from the door of the tent by the time that the dark-haired woman came smiling over from the main grounds to ask her question, and it took a few seconds longer than normal to find her own smile to display. Technically Gemma wasn’t the one giving trapeze lessons, pole dancing and ballet skills only went so far, but she was watching the tent for the actual artist and had actually read the schedule of events in the time she had been standing there, seeing as there hadn’t been much else to do in the meantime. “There should be another in fifteen to twenty minutes, depending on how long it takes Penelope to get back from her break.” She said in reply, gesturing towards the empty tent. “You can wait inside with me if you need a break of your own from all the noise, I don’t mind.”

Everything began to shift ever so gradually. 

One single spark would be all it took to get the show going. Luckily enough that spark came just right on time. Just one was all was needed to set off the chain reaction. Soon enough fire had spread throughout the tent, forming a maze where the boundaries were made of fire. The crackling flames surrounded all three men.

This is definitely one of my more blazing hot set ups.

            Jokes aside, this is quite a predicament. 

                     Perhaps not so much for two of you,

                --One and a half, if I may be realistic here,

but it's survival of the fittest around here, isn't it? 

                Your goal is quite easy.

                                     Simply, escape the maze. 

          Not that the alternative seems too pleasant. 

Stay within the burning tent if you wish.

                  Be the first one out if you wish.

            Just remember that you're racing against time.

I Am A Fire, Gasoline || Alex, Cody & Gregor

The phone buzzes on the counter, nearly jolting itself off before a weary hand slams down on it. Squinting in the darkness at the small screen, Gregor read the cryptic message. Alright, it was time to get up, as it was nearly sundown. Running a hand through stringy hair, the Rouge dressed methodically. Strapping his gun holster to his sides, being sure they were easily accessible, being doubly sure that his vest covered the sight of his guns. Packing his weapons was always a calming feeling, he felt surges of comfort from the gunmetal at his sides, the small daggers sliding against his ankle skin. 

It was a cooler night, so he opted for a hoodie under his vest, his white sneakers shone brightly against his mostly dark outfit, and black bike. Revving the engine, giving her time to warm up he checked his phone again, recognizing the location of tonight’s event. He shot Death and a few other Rouges he trusted a text to find out more info, but it seemed they were already on their way to the event. Setting his sights on the old Carnival grounds, Gregor rode through the fading sun. He parked his bike a few blocks away from the service entrance and easily found a low chain link fence that was easy enough to hop. It was easy enough amongst the hustle and bustle of the crew to hide, checking his phone again, it indicated to head towards the fire dancers. The tough Rouge hated to admit it made his stomach flip, but fixing his face with a casual grin. He had to at least look like he was enjoying himself. 

It was crawling with PROTECT agents and that in itself made his skin crawl, following the neon signs, Gregor found the fire dancers stage. it was mostly empty for the time being, besides the two ‘fire dancers’ dashing about the stage preparing for their act. As the sun sunk lower in the sky, more and more patrons began filtering in. Shoving his hands deep in his jeans, the blonde found a corner off to the side of the stage where he could clearly see the show. He wasn’t sure what the Rouges play here was, but he’d do whatever was necessary tonight, even if he was a bit tweaked about the flames.

The leaves swirled as the wind picked them up. The pieces were finally together. Now came time to put them onto the board. The procedure was the same as before. 

Potential bad weather  Please relocate to tent 2B The game has already been set up for you!

What came next was to be expected for those who have been paying attention. The gates dropped down as soon as the three set foot into the tent. Lights flashed in rapid succession to greet them.

This is truly perfect.

          A PROTECT archiver, a Nexus sin, and a Rogue horseman. 

Christmas has come early this year.

In case freeing yourself from this little cage isn't enough incentive to pay along,

I know a certain somebody with red hair is just dying to see one of you again. 

          Or is that Auburn Red? ...Perhaps Strawberry Blonde.

I can't really tell honestly. 

                         Well, onto the game now, shall we?

Shooting Range, was it? This will be fun indeed.

                                On stage are three rifles. 

And yes, they are real and fully loaded. 

The game is rather self explanatory. Shoot everything that has a target on them and everybody can go free and nobody will be hurt. Alternatively, if the number of players somehow go from 

              three down to two,

well, I'll consider that as a victory as well. Otherwise...

              Make sure all the targets are eliminated.

Seeing Red || Lyla, Riley, and Death

The tent started clearing out as if on cue. People slowly filed out in a casual manner as if to avoid suspicion. 

Tick. Tick. Tick.

The sounds were small at first. Nothing too difficult to ignore. 

But then it started increasing in volume.

Tick.

       T i c k.

Aren't you in the least bit curious what that is? 

Why don't you look over to your right? Go on.

An old antique chest is off to their right against the wall sitting on top of a mess of rope netting. 

Why yes, that sound is coming from that chest.

                 Within that chest, is the source of the ticking

                   and also a key to the gate around this tent. 

Did I mention...                 ...the chest is locked as well?

 If you look above you. The key is tied to the middle tight rope.

Which means that somebody will need to retrieve it...

                and for your sake. I hope they do it soon.

                         Time is ticking. 

Don't Look Down || Joey, Moria, Adrian

A voice called out from deep within the crowd, "Let's go find the healers! I think they're back in their vans!" Whether anybody actually saw who the voice belonged to was still unclear, but that wasn't the priority when some poor girl had fainted. The crowd quickly dissipated right after. 

A cold breeze passed by them. 

The dunk tank was then elevated up. It was large enough for somebody to stand in and still have a few feet of water above them. 

Their phones all went off at the same time. A low, distorted voice emerged through the white noise.

How nice of you to put the game pieces where they needed to be already.

I wouldn't suggest making any rash movements.

                                         Try anything funny

                   and I'll drop the girl and close the lid.

 Then the new game will be "Guess how long the pretty little curator can hold her breath."

But that's no fun for anybody. So let's just play the game I had planned out for you all, yes?

The tank has two target levers.

                       If just one is hit, the board will drop. 

                       If both are hit at the same time,

   the water tank will close and the girl will be free to leave.

Alternatively, if anybody wishes to play the hero... Speak up now and I'll allow you to take the girl's place. If you try to use this to save both her and yourself...

                         I will drop her.

Dancing With The Devil || Emrys, Grace, and Andrew

After being locked up in his lab for so long, Andrew was jumping at any chance for entertainment and socialization he could get. So when he got the invite the the carnival, he was out the door as soon as he possibly could have been. A few hours into it though, and the inventor was content to just wander and hope he ran into someone that he recognized. And as luck would have it, after a little while he finally caught sight of just such a person. “Grace! Hey Gra-” It was no use calling at her though, the sounds of the crowd and the carnival were drowning it out. He scanned for ways to get through the mass when he spotted the young man run into Grace. It was an accident, no big deal. Except he grabbed her to keep her from falling, and Andrew knew enough about her ability to know that that was a very bad thing to do. “Oh shit…”

Rushing through the crowd, Andrew had to knock through several people before he finally got to them. “Let go! Let go of her!” Andrew knew the guy couldn’t have know about Grace’s ability, but Andrew roughly pushed him aside nonetheless. He would explain later, right now he was just focused on the girl. Doing his best to avoid direct contact, Andrew looked her over, and he quickly saw the nose bleed. “Oh Grace…” Again he looked around, searching for anything that could help, and his eyes found the dunk tank. “Better than nothing.” Andrew carried her in the least awkward way he could manage there and rested her head against the cool surface. He hoped it would help her snap out of whatever her mind was going through. “Grace? Hey, c’mon girl, wake up…”

A small cry could be heard from the entrance of the ride. It was probably just the wind or something, right? Nothing to pay too much attention to.

--No, but there it was again, beckoning and pulling the three male's attention in. The voice grew louder the more they focused on it. It wasn't just a regular cry, they would figure as they started getting closer. It was a cry for help. But even then, there was something off about it. The voice was a female's, but it seemed to have... Changed every time it called out.

The first female voice had a raspy undertone to it. "Help!"

The second was gentler and high. "Help!"

The third was the softest, almost inaudible at first. "Ayúdame!"

As soon as the three males got closer, the gate closed behind them and the voices cut out. 

Did you lose something, fellas? Surely, the three of you did not intend to come to the Tunnel of Love without your loves. 

                                   No worries.

                           I can be of assistance to you.

They say love can endure almost anything.

                        I would like to put that to the test. 

Gentlemen, please get into the boat behind you. I do apologize for how cramp it may be but I assure you it won't be for too long.

                     The objective of the game?

I want to see how much self control you all have and how much you're willing to put up with in order to see your loved ones again. So essentially...

               If you leave the boat, it's game over.

However. If you do manage to eliminate the other two players from the game, then you will have an automatic victory and will not be forced to endure the whole ride.

      Also, beware of the hornet's nest that I accidentally left somewhere in the tunnel.

Immediately after the voice had cut out, the females voices could be heard again. Some of them in excruciating agony. Others crying out the names of one men and asking them to save them. And with that, the boat started moving extremely slow with the flow of the water.

The little screen at the booth that displayed each players points after every knife throw flickered then a message appeared:

Sorry for the inconvenience! But knife throw is being relocated to TENT 4B. Please allow those at the booth to enjoy the free show there while we set up.

It was strange. Eerie, almost. The message said that there was a show going on, but once inside the place was void of any human presence but the show music was still playing and the lights were dancing about. A distorted voice rang out.

Right on time for the show, ladies. 

Unfortunately, the performers have been delayed so you're going to have to take their roles for the day.

Metal gates appeared and dropped down to the ground.

                      There.

Now you guys will have to play my game.

Let's see who our players are...

     The Nexus speedster, the Rogue bandit, and the boxing queen.

Two large wheels on the stage start spinning even though it was clear that no one had been around to put them in motion.

This game is simple, I promise

                   Four targets are on each wheel.

                   Ten knives in total.

                   Two people are tied to the wheels.

                   And one will try to hit all the targets.

Now make sure all the targets are hit or else it's game over. Decide on who will play which roles.

Salvation is right in front of you. All you have to do is choose wisely.

Ronan had been too preoccupied with her training the past few days, not mention the upcoming tournament she had been prepping for all month. There was no time for any sort of distractions if she wanted to be at the top of her game. That is, until earlier that day she had received an invitation in the mail to carnival, along with a ticket for one person. She hadn’t thought of it much at first, fans would always send her things in the mail, not mention the sponsors that would also invite her to events as well. Most of which she declined simply because she had no interest or time.

Ronan contemplates during her session on whether to go or not. It was  just a carnival after all, so she could go and leave as she pleased without having to make any excuses. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d been to a carnival but it was probably with her father as a little girl. It would have been a lie if she said it wasn’t the nostalgic feeling that attracted her to go.

It wasn’t formal so she opts for going in her training sweats straight from the gym. Arriving just as the gates are opening she hands in her ticket heading  straight for the games and stands. Wandering deeper into the carnival her attention is drawn by the sign leading to the knife throwing booth, more danger always meant more entertainment. Following the sign she walks up and takes her place next to the small group of people crowded around. Ronan turns and offers a smile at a younger girl she see’s standing next to her, “Pretty exciting stuff, huh?”

The lights in the tent all turned off once, submersing the place in pitch darkness. Two spotlights flicked on to both Caleb and Aliya from above. The lights moved forward and led them towards one another. The conventional carnival tune creeps through the speakers, building up to a crackling blare. 

So it's you two, isn't it? The deadly sin and the Russian royal. 

The sounds of three other lights echoed around as the turned on to illuminate the spherical cage around the two. As soon as they could see their surrounding, the doors to the metal cage snapped close.

Welcome to the globe of death. 

           The name is rather fitting, isn't it?

If you listen real closely, you can hear the lion's backstage. I'm afraid somebody has gone and not only upset them all, but also withheld their lunch today. 

Unlike your cage, the one holding them back are not as sturdy.

                                      The sad thing is.

Similar to how there can only be one alpha in a pride of lions, there can only be one in the globe of death. 

                 Choose who stays and who leaves

or I will open the door and both of you will have to deal with the hungry, enraged beasts.

Let's see if the two rivals can outsmart the game.

Stalking Prey || Greed » Aliya

Aliya had been a bit reluctant to leave the flat. She didn’t like the idea of leaving Jacob on his own in her flat, especially with the threat she assumed against her was still out there who knew where she lived thanks to the media, but luckily, she still had Felix, her nerd, to listen in on the bugs he’d placed in her apartment after she told the world she was Aliya Pechenikova. It was just a precaution, those bugs, but they were still useful.

Walking down a path at the carnival, Aliya watched as the people she assumed were all PROTECT, moved around with large coats and rubbing their hands while she was wearing a simple fuchsia sweater and acting as if the weather was nothing to her. Which it wasn’t. Cold weather was something she got used to quite young, and this cold wasn’t what she considered cold at all.

As Aliya continues walking by various kiosks, she can’t help but admit that this was a good turn out, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves to a certain degree. That is, until she saw him. He’d done a lot of bad things before the interrogation, but having killed so many of her people, he’d pretty much made the top of her to imprison list, and her to kill if necessary list.

What the hell is he doing here. She thought to herself, and she didn’t think it was anything good. She knew if she went over and talked to him her anger would get the better of her, and there was no telling what she would. She wouldn’t let him know she was a post-human, though. She didn’t have that tattoo, and she’d seen what happens to the ones who get found out and she couldn’t be sent back to Russia. Not with so much unfinished business here. So, instead, she simply followed him up to the globe of death.

Night At the Museum

Here is the entire chat log from the event last night in case anybody had a mighty need to reread what went on last night. The time tags are still on but hopefully this will still be easy enough to read

Peter enters in nervously, politely greeting the people at the door.19:04

Leah walks into the museum, recorder in hand. Catching sight of Natsumi, she made her way over to her. "This all looks like a very bad idea."19:12

Zora: "Sorry, iPhone blindness. I didn't hurt you at all, did I?"19:15

Richard has his hands in his pockets as he walks in, glancing around, jumping and laughing a little when he knocks into Zora, "Oops! Goodness, no, my bad. Are you alright?"19:16

Peter: "Ow! That burns. Is that the thanks I get for trying to make you laugh?"19:17

Natsumi she shoots Leah a look, "Just keep quiet and don't do anything stupid."19:17

Claire wanders in shortly after Richard and smiles to the other familiar faces as she glances around19:17

Zora laughs gently and shakes her head. "Hardly, I'm more worried about your shoulders. Women's handbags can be dangerous, you know."19:17

Leah rolls her eyes and holds up her tape recorder. "I have other things to do besides whatever the hell it is that you want me to do." she said.19:18

Mohinder: "Face it, Peter, you were never the joke telling type." glances over at Barbara. "I didn't know Tracy would be here."19:19

Barbara: [[why exactly barbara decided to go is beyond me. also if my internet goes out it isn't my fault...]]19:19

Peter furrows his brows, "Huh. I thought Tracy was going to be late or not show up at all."19:20

Richard glances back at Claire, then forward to Zora again, smiling, "Hardly, I'm just fine, thank you. My name is Richard, by the way, nice to bump into you."19:22

Mohinder sighs. "I thought this would be the last place that she would want to be." Avcids Peter's statement and smiles in Claire's direction. "Oh look, it's Claire."19:22

Natsumi grabs Leah by the wrist and pulls her back, "We're here to do a job and if you screw this up I won't let you drag me down with you. So I suggest you do as I say." She hisses through her teeth.19:22

Barbara: [[wait. i have to go finish the laundry... i'll be right back. *winces*]]19:22

Leah yanks her wrist out of her hand. "I'm not an amateur, so I suggest you stop treating me like one.19:23

Peter scratches his head, "Maybe she just really wanted to be here and congratulate you. I dunno." Peter tries to wave at his niece again. "Yeah I tried waving to her before. She probably didn't see me though."19:23

Peter: [[ kk!!! ]]19:24

Claire sidles up to Richard with a small grin, and waves to Peter and Mohinder before looking between Richard and Zora. "Sorry if I'm interrupting."19:24

Richard lightly smiles down at Claire, "Not in the slightest."19:25

Zora smiles in return and inclines her head slightly at Claire. "And my name is Zora. It's lovely to meet you Richard, even if I nearly knocked you over. No, just an introduction, Miss Bennet."19:25

Mohinder shrugs. "Maybe she sensed the jokes."19:25

Natsumi "I'm not going to take your word for it, until you prove yourself."19:25

Peter pokes Mohinder in the arm, "You were amused and you know it."19:26

Leah rolls her eyes. "Just look out for yourself and try to look normal. I know what I have to do."19:26

Claire smiles between Richard and Zora again. "Okay. Its good to see you, Dr. Novak."19:27

Richard winces a tiny bit, "Actually, I think I should probably head out for tonight," and inclines his head to Zora, "It was a pleasure to meet you." then turns to claire, "Would you mind saying hello to your uncle and mohinder for me? Sorry for ditching you so soon"19:28

Mohinder shakes his head and nods. "I'll take your word for it." he looks towards the dimming light and the podium and gestures towards it. "Excuse me, I do believe that's my cue."19:30

Natsumi smirks slightly, "That should be easy."19:30

Zora waves goodbye to Richard and turns to Claire. "Good to see you as well, Claire. It seems like this is going to be quite the exhibition, from the looks of it."19:30

Peter: "Knock 'em dead, man."19:31

Allison enters just as the lights start dimming and looks around the room19:31

Peter spots Allison and gives her a half worried and half friendly look.19:31

Claire nods and smiles up at Richard. "No problem. See you later, Richard." She nods with a faint smile to Zora and glances towards Peter and Mohinder. "It will be. Mohi-Doctor Suresh has done a lot of work for this."19:31

Peter: [[ damn we timed that well..]]19:31

Mohinder nods at Peter and heads to the podium on stage. He sets his notes in front of him and takes in a deep breath, as the spotlight cuts on to him.19:32

Mohinder: Evolution. Throughout history, many have tried to disregard the idea as nothing more than a fallacy. A notion that we only read about in science fiction. Great scientists and scholars, however, have taught us differently. The lizards and amphibian creatures that walk the Earth today evolved from prehistoric creatures that we know as dinosaurs. Claire reads Peter's message quick and doesn't reply, then frowns and glances to Zora, keeping in mind what Tracy had texted her. "You seem to keep forgetting that I know Tracy, too. She is a friend of mine. Why do you keep talking around that fact?"22:04

Gemma sighs and texts him back. 'It has its uses. Only for you.' She glances around the room for the fire alarm, snapping her fingers towards it to activate the flashing light and Klaxon.22:04

Claire gives a faint smile in relief with the power back on, and makes sure her eyes don't leave Zora.22:04

Mohinder nods at Natsumi. "Sure, come on."22:05

Zora covers her ears at the sound of the alarm, and raises her voice over the din. "She didn't have a clue who you were, Miss Bennet. I don't think that was who you were looking for."22:06

Peter turns to Allison, "Hey. I need you to secure the perimeter. If your people show up then tell them to keep their eyes open for suspicious people."22:06

A distress signal light started blipping off in the corner. The row of computers that constantly feeds through police streams and other emergency streams were all running frantically. 

//WOMAN DIED OF UNNATURAL CAUSES AT GROCERY STORE. LEAKING WATER FROM HER BODY.

//TEEN WITH NO HISTORY OF EPILEPSY SEIZED IN THE CENTRAL PARK CLAIMING HE SAW THE FUTURE.

//MAN SUFFERED THIRD DEGREE BURNS WHEN FIRE SUDDENLY APPEARED FROM HIS HANDS.

The reports went on like this for several pages. If these situations were Post-Human related, they should have appeared on the PIT (Post Human Identification Tag) system. But they didn’t. These were regular civilians. 

When an analysis of the reports were ran, the following message showed up on the screen.

Leah shrugged it off and flicked the light on. “Sorry, I usually don’t notice when I’ve been working awhile.” she said with a sigh. Leah chuckled at her roommate’s comment as they walked the short distance to Selma’s office. “Because technology doesn’t like to be cooperative. Its ironic because its made to be such.” she said wit ha deep sigh. A horrid noise projected from the computer and pricked at Leah’s ears as they both entered the office space. The blonde frowned, walking around to look at the computer’s fuzzy screen. “I honestly have no idea what’s wrong with it.” Leah said as she typed a bit on the keyboard. She let out a small yelp when she allowed Selma to fiddle around with the damned contraption and an ear splitting noise projected from it. “Lets… not do that again.” she told the woman slowly, afraid to press another button. “An hour or so ago, not many people emailing this late at night.”

Suddenly, a man’s voice caused Leah to look at the doorway where a thin man with glasses stood staring at the girls with an irritated expression. “Oh, um,” she began to say as he weaved around the desk to take a look at the computer. She raised an eyebrow at the new arrival as he shooed, yes shooed, them away from the computer. Leah scoffed a bit but decided not to say anything ,seeing as he had come to take control of the situation at hand. ”Yes the computer is completely-” she was cut off by his rambling. He seemed to talk at a rapid, never ending pace that Leah found it difficult to get a word in. He was certainly a peculiar man, but as she watched him work with the computer, she could admit that he was rather brilliant. The shrill sound had stopped and seemed to have already deduced the problem without even five minutes of touching the piece of technology. “How did you know it was a bug?” she asked curiously.

She watched Simon as he fiddled around with the computer, explaining exactly how the bug had gotten in. It was odd, actually, PROTECT had some of the best firewall thanks to Micah and the tech department. It would take a very highly skilled computer genius to get into their system. Had they really managed through something as simple as an email. “Head of the tech division?” she questioned in mild surprise. So that explained it. Of course he would be able to fix it in his position. She nodded and gave Selma a look of relief, her eyebrow cocked only slightly in a amusement at the animated man.

"Clean up on aisle 3. Everybody please steer clear of the pasta aisle. There seems to be a water leak," a voice spoke out from the speakers above. But as the announcement was made water had already seeped to where the three guys were. Within seconds, water blanketed over the entire surface of the supermarket. 

"SOMEBO--- HELP" a woman bellowed out. By the time anybody reached her, she was down on her knees with water spewing from her mouth. She looked up with a helpless look in her eyes. Once more she opened her mouth to beg for help but the words came out gurgled. Her hands covered her mouth to stop the water from flowing out but the water found another way out. Water sprung out from both ends of her ears now.

Overwhelmed with shock, her hands dropped and water resumed pouring out of her mouth but this time it came out of her nose as well. "HE--"  The woman fell over and laid on the floor in the flood of water she created.

She was cold and motionless. The woman was dead.
