hello!! every character can only have one single power at a time. how much this entails depends on the type of power you choose! if their power would be being durable, i would say it entails being able to endure a lot more pain/pressure/injuries, but if you're not a 100 percent sure about what a power can entail, feel free to ask more questions!! (also, sorry for the delay with answers and sorry if i misunderstood what you meant with durable!)

hello! i can absolutely give you some!

they're a student in the top 10 and their parents paid money to get them higher up the ranks

they're a professor accepting money to send students higher up in ranks

their power has randomly stopped working and they have been trying to hide it

they killed someone (by accident, or on purpose)

they faked their identity to live a new life in the vale (to escape from prison, the law, someone from their past life)

they are a council member in love with a graduate/resident and try their best to convince the other council members to make them the new hero

they keep committing crimes (robberies, frauds, etc)

they are a student trying to rise to the top 1, and purposely harmed other students (poison, in fights, etc)

they are a journalist publishing articles that cause harm

they have an affair

they've been kicked out of the academy but pretend they left on purpose

they purposefully cause scandals to seem more relevant

they know their friend/partner committed harm or a crime but keep it to themselves

they were wrongly accused of a crime

they are faking to be rich

they are the (secret) child of a former/retired hero

they are addicted to something

AN ANONYMUS ARTICLE

published august 17th. two months have passed since the glorious heroes of our nation went down from five to four in just one night. given they are always carefully chosen by our dearest council and awarded with the highest honors our country has to give, one would expect that in the case of their death, the general public would receive more knowledge about what happened in this one, fateful night. however, we did not. and that brings me to the conclusion that the council is hiding something, which i will be personally trying to unvale. official notes on their disappearance are limited. a crashed building, sudden death, bla, bla. do you believe that that's true? does the council believe it is? anyone, at all? maybe the hero was meant to disappear, and this was the easiest way to get rid of them. of course, the great question that has been driving the east bridge academy's students insane, has to be who will be next? who will fill this empty space? because let us be real, no other university stands a chance, while the east bridge still prides themselves to be the best of the best. of course, the top 3 students have the highest chance of being the next, but what about those unknown faces hidden in the vale's shadows? the graduates we have long forgotten about? would they not be a much better choice, given they have more experience, more knowledge and more money to convince the council to choose them? was not one of the 'greatest' heroes of all time only a top 20 student, who's mommy bought them a position with a few million dollars? perhaps, that was just a rumor. every hero has a secret lurking. and when the council chooses their next top 10 heroes, or even their next top 5, then i will be there to analyze them. maybe i will keep the information i find to myself. maybe they will find me, before i can reveal anything about them. maybe they will make an actual good choice. the only thing we know for sure is that the original, the last hero may be gone, but the throne is never empty for long. so fight, wannabe heroes, if you want to be the next to fall.

- the anonymous author of this article has not been found yet. this article was published to the student network, which was hacked a few seconds prior to the publishing, but it was immediately deleted after five minutes of being online. all students and workers of the academy would have had the chance to read it, as they were all notified. screenshots of the article were spread around, but deleted only thirty minutes after the incident. a few suspects were sent to meet the dean, but were released and labelled innocent shortly after. - there was a brief statement released just one hour after the publishing, informing everyone that the person that published the article would face a serious trial in front of the council were they to be found, and that they would be expelled, were they to be a student. - the council announced the official begin of the trials to fill the next hero spot just five hours later, on sunday evening, and they made one thing clear: it is not only students that can fill up the next hero spot, but graduates as well. they also claimed to be looking at students from other universities. - the official information released about the hero's 'death' includes a description of their mission, a brief video of the building crashing on top of them, and various reports and videos from supposed rescue missions. this is the general public information. only council members and heroes know that their body was never found. - that being said: WE ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN FOR IN CHARACTER INTERACTIONS!

ONE NEW WANTED CONNECTION HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE MAIN

i caught sight of a stranger at the plaza today, and they look an awfully lot like XANDER'S CHOSEN SIBLING. wouldn’t it be great if they stuck around? i heard XANDER VALENTE talk about them during lunch, and it appears he met y/m when she was only eleven. fighting for her life against someone in an alley at two in the morning. the fire in her was Cute so ofc he helped her out ( yk he used his powers and killed that person ) and eventually returned y/m to her home ( despite her protests bc she had been trying to run away gdi ) even going as far as to tuck her into bed. when she refused to let go of his bloodied hand, holding it tighter even as she fell asleep… SOMETHING struck him in his heart. he went out of his way to watch over her after that. but it wasn’t until one year later that he would fully grasp What had struck him so deeply. after he’d been mia for a bit and the twelve year old had sought him out; unfazed by the horrors she found him committing and instead only worrying about where he’d been. if he was okay. that’s when he understood what that Something was. A SENSE OF BELONGING!! FAMILY!!!! she was HIS to care for. and he, hers. so when he found out that her father was abusive? he planned to kill him. instead, every last person in y/m's family died. his rage amplified the extent of the power used and it seeped throughout their entire city like some noxious fog, causing mass hysteria that took hundreds of other lives as well. ofc despite being a street kid himself, he took her under his wing and went above and beyond to not only hide his culpability but to ensure she was safe and happy; securing decent cash flow via various criminal activities. about a decade later, y/m was captured and was going to be Punished for HIS crimes bUT someone from the council at the vale stepped in w/ a proposition. she would be spared, if he agreed to work for them. the contract was signed without a second thought. thus he packed up his shit and bought a one way plane ticket out to cali, with y/m hot on his heels. he didn't want her anywhere near the place ( or the people who had essentially forced him into perpetual servitude ) but she Refused to live somewhere he was not. not long after they settled in, she managed to get into the university and has been working vvvv hard to become a Hero!!!!! they have supposedly resided in the vale for FOUR YEARS and could easily be mistaken for ANY 26 YEAR OLD FEMALE FC. if you’ve seen them, you COULD contact those that look for them at @FRIGHTGASM where GHOST awaits you.
