marlene gives a quiet sigh and averts her eyes for a bit , seemingly deep in thought. of course she knows that it is necessary for rosemary to return to the human city, but, despite this being incredibly selfish, she just wants the human to stay for a bit. they rarely get to see one  another after all , so ... 

though she decides not to speak openly of these depressing thoughts and instead puts on a gentle, but forced smile and takes the girl into her arms. best to enjoy her company while it lasts.

“ I’ll be staying until dawn tomorrow - I’m supposed to be on a spying mission, but I already have the information so I can skip out and spend time with you for now. “

What was the point of spying when she simply had to ask some of the Vampire Nobles what the others were doing in their respective positions. She’d get the most accurate results that way and impress the human higher ups which might just raise her rank and allow her access to the more classified information.

❛ nein, unfortunately it isn’t. it’d be nice , though .. our body    temperature isn’t really helping either.❜

she gives a sigh && looks at rosemary with a pained  expression and a forced smile - being a vampire could be extremely troublesome at times. especially in these cold months, and they didn’t really have anything to  keep themselves warm. not that they have need for it, though. she’d just ... like some warmth, it’d be a most welcome change. but , now she does have rosemary and she is going to make use of that fact. 

“ I didn’t mean I think you stole it! I was just curious where you got it from! ”

She frowned at her lover - the thought had never even crossed her mind that her girlfriend had stolen the scarf. She had just been curious as if she already had it or if she found it somewhere in the outside world - or perhaps had had it made in Sanguinem.

“ … I am kind of cold. Sanguinem isn’t exactly known for it’s heat, is it? “

The thief only met the woman’s gaze as she looked at her, eyebrows raising expectantly. “It wouldn’t suit my tastes? What’s that supposed to mean–?” Was it something fancy? If that was the case, she wanted it. The ravenette was very bad about wanting things that didn’t currently belong to her.

It is rude and you may end up in ... unfortunate situations.❜  marlene gives a sigh at the girl’s approach && appears quite displeased by it judging by her harsh tone of voice. her expression isn’t exactly soft either ; but she’d rather force the girl to leave than reveal to her what she’d been feeding upon. humans tend to be .. grossed out easily by that what is not human.

Goodness—— what a poor attitude the progenitor possesses ! Chess pouts slightly ; that empty &&. rude tone is so irksome. Nonetheless, the vampire cheers nearly immediately &&. sticks her tongue out absently ; pondering the question posed.

“ Ne—— I already played hide and seek today, ” Chess says, in a tone that  implies the 9th should’ve already known such a thing, crossing her arms under an ample chest. “ Still, it’s fun ! A-and so is tag - especially with the livestock. ”

the 17th certainly is difficult to deal with ! marlene has to put an actual effort into her neutral attitude. she gives a nod && suppresses a sigh , eyebrows raised. despite her attempts to maintain a calm and collected expression , she cannot help but critize chess through the woman’s slightly odd behavior. what a child.

❛ I see, I see.then what am I necessary for , frau? besides , doesn’t a progenitor like yourself have to do , well , tasks of actual importance?❜  marlene honestly has started question whether chess puts her playtime first or the work given to her. she sincerely doubts the second option , though.

despite upholding a calm attitude and a gentle tone,  marlene’s presence still is quite troublesome. the vampire , after all , has never been very fond of  outsiders - especially not when they are from a species different from her own.

rosemary isn’t wrong - marlene indeed worries more than she should , but when it comes to the girl she cannot quite help it - she’s being put in danger after all !! however when she asks the question she’s been trying to avoid her face twists to a frown and she seems a little scared of  the answer.

rosemary giggled a bit and watched as marlene removed her heels and easily allowed herself to be pulled onto the older woman’s lap & wrapped her arms around her neck again smiling happily.

“ i’ve been fine - you worry too much. of course i’ve gotten a few bumps and scrapes but fine over all! what about you? how have you been? ”

marlene’s brief surprise soon turns into concern&& she faces rosemary with a rather tired expression--she’s been running quite a few errands as of lately,and while she does not mind it is rather tiring. thoughshe proceeds to give the human a kind smile , eyesgentle.

rosemary strikes a nerve there but it does not bother marlene for too long. she gives her girlfriend a warm smile and brushes gloved fingers through her hair, waving it off - sometimes she can be a little too .. ‘ overprotective ‘. especially when it comes to  rosemary.

a smile soon graces marlene’s features && she pulls back from their kiss to take off her high - heeled boots and soon enough the height difference between the two  isn’t really bothersome anymore. however she also  decides to make it a bit more comfortable and takes a seat on her bed , pulling rosemary on her laps &&  brushes a thumb along her cheek after removing her own gloves.

she hadn’t expected for their lips to meet so quickly after entering the room - but really she should have. it had been so long since they had seen each other, it had almost felt like a lifetime and some times words just didn’t cut it. though she easily kissed back and wrapped her arms around marlene’s neck, closing her eyes and losing herself in the sensation.
