I haven't blogged here in a minute but today Hersehy successfully cleared my path when I was using my wheelchair on command! We have been working on it for about a month!

Huge update (after being off this blog forever whoops)-

We moved! We now live in an apartment! It's Hershey's first day here today, we moved Monday but nothing was set up or ready for him until today. So far he is a bit anxious and confused which makes sense because the entire moving process was wild (boxes everywhere, his things suddenly packed away, us being gone, etc). I think he will be okay here, he just needs to adjust. He is already playing with toys and eating treats which is a good sign

The Doodle after his complete groom! He got injured at the groomer a few days ago (they sliced his ear) and had to visit the emergency vet but he is okay and didn't have any issues going back to finish his spa day!

Help a Disabled, Queer SD Handler be Housed!

Hello all! I am in the process of trying to move out with my service dog and I to an apartment with 2 roommates, and I really need help.

I am 24, transgender, disabled, and living in poverty. I work full time and I am in college full time. I am in the application process for a 2nd job as well.

I need to move out for my own mental health and also to be sure that my dying grandmother gets access to better assistance (my presence in the home makes her hesitant and living with my aggressive father is making me unwell).

I make enough to *probably* be able to cover the rent and utilities, but I am absolutely scrambling to pay for things like public transportation, a bed to sleep in, groceries, and medical costs for my ongoing palliative care.

If anyone is able to help in any way, I would really appreciate it. I can offer you my artwork, stickers, my time/skills, adult content, and really anything else you want. Merry Christmas! We took our Christmas photos the other day and look super cute 😍 Miss Lleak doesn't participate in the PJs because she hates it and everything nice, but that is okay.

Happy Birthday Hershey!!!! My boy is 3 years old today!

I have the flu so I was in bed for the last 3 days, I didn't see Hershey at all since I was isolating (we were unsure if it's the flu or covid, but flu is confirmed now). This morning I got out of bed and Hershey snuggled with me in my lap for a few hours, he couldn't stop wagging his tail. I love this dog so much 😭

Here is a Butter! She has been doin so good! She now goes on the lightrail with no fear and has learned how to ignore other people and dogs much better!

She also has learned to be calmer arround the cat!

Hershey and I have been having some trouble at work. My job is so demanding that I find it difficult to take him to work with me. He has been home for a few weeks. A lot of it was transportation at first but now that I have more secured rides, I am nervous about taking him. He is great, but customers are not and if I have to go in the kitchen or do something, he is alone behind the counter and that makes me nervous. Hopefully I can start taking him again on Wednesday or Thursday see how it goes. For now though, he is sleeping on the couch at home with Grammy and his blanket

Sometimes having a SD is hilarious. Hershey got all wet outside so I was having some panic from that wet sensory input. And being a task trained service dog, he immediately jumped fully on top of me and did DPT, which got me much wetter in the process 😅 I can't help but laugh despite the discomfort because he responded exactly how he was supposed to

Hershey is back at work today! He was off for about 3 weeks because I didn't have transportation to/from work, and then I was out of the country for 10 days. But now I am back and hopefully will consistently have rides so Hershey can come back to work full time! So far he is doing okay but I am worried about him being out of practice. We will just have to try extra hard with lots of positive reinforcement lol
