Hades & Persephone au Part 2: Lumine finally entered the equivalent of a teenage rebellion and ran away from home to explore, she’s already exhausted from frolicking in the forest when Xiao appears. She asks him if she can go with him to his home because she’s never been in his domain before & she’d rather not go home immediately to her overbearing twin brother. Of course, Xiao says yes and carries her into a portal to the underworld, but a nymph saw the scene and assumed it was a kidnapping.

Meanwhile Xiao is the underworld’s leader who Lumine befriended before but never revealed his true identity to her and has an innocent crush on her. (Part 1)

Final part of chalkydri au headcanons warning for NSFW ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) & mentions of babies/hatchlings, birth & pregnancy: chalkydri go into heat every once in a while and birds hearing cycle in real life is 1-2 weeks, so xiaolumi disappear for a while & when they came back Lumine is already pregnant. The pregnancy last 9 months & she gives birth in Jueyan Karst. The egg is tiny galaxy in a oval before morphing into a baby, & their son’s true form is a feathered dragon with feathery wings.

Chalkydri au part 4: since Xiao’s true form is a bird(the smaller and chunky bird is a depowered form but I’m talking about tall, majestic Phoenix/crane vermillion bird) just imagine him & Lumine in their true forms cuddling & hunting together, forehead touching, Lumine licking him. I headcanon that Xiao can’t fly properly anymore because his old master destroyed his wings but he can still glide, & despite Lumine being in her dragon form she’s still missing her wings even in that form.

Chalkydri au part 3 aka further info: after gaining Teyvat’s elements Lumine finally can shift back into her chalkydri voluntary albeit with a time limit, it begins to last longer by the time of Inazuma & Sumeru archon quests. Horns can fall off or be removed & grow back within a few days, but Lumine is picky about who gets to touch her horns(Childe currently takes number 1 spot of ‘Not allowed to touch horns’ list of he ever finds out about her otherness). Yes she can purr, growl, and hiss

Chalkydri au part 2: Now for physiology and habits as demonstrated by Lumine: she can eat but it’s optional for chalkydri, so when she cooks meals it all goes to paimon and any of her companions who are with them. She has heightened senses and can accomplish feats that normal humans can’t such as scent, speed, strength, endurance, etc. Chalkydri can shed their scales and the clothes that Lumine and Aether wear are made from their scales. Chalkydri also regularly bath because it’s a must.

So I came up with an au where Lumine’s true form is a chalkydri(it’s an angelic dragon look it up)and yes her brother also has the form too but they stick with their human forms to blend in. Lumine’s scales are hidden behind her gloves, boots and she has more on her front body, stomach, hips, boobs, & butt. She couldn’t shift into her true form because of the unknown god sealed away her powers but little by little when she gains the world’s elements her powers and true form are returning (part1)
