thinking about fengxian…….. she’s so so so smart …….. she can beat lakan in go. from what he says she’s also really good at coming in with unexpected moves, her moves impress him and keeps him on edge. he’s more of a go by instinct kind of guy and i wonder what about her - clear mapped out strategy or instincts as well.
#always hc'd fengxian as carefully thinking out a plan but very adaptable#i was kinda going off the gagan manga because fengxian's expression there#when she said “courtesans cant be mothers” always felt a little. melancholic to me#i feel like maybe when she met lakan and their relationship grew that the plan to get her price down#was just slowly forming in the back of her head. the routine of three months her contract getting bought and maybe her own hidden melanchol#led her to think up that plan but it was one with far higher stakes than a go match if it fell through which it unfortunately did#besides that she's incredibly self assured too so her being someone who thinks through everything makes sense to me#i read her unpredictability in go to be due to her poker face but in her head she's just constantly planning for every move#the moves make sense to her who's always thinking through everything#but unexpected to lakan because her thought process never shows on her face and he's more an instincts person#the apothecary diaries

Ever see a take where someone’s like wishing something was canon or hcing something that could very well become canon except for them it’s a funny little concept but for you the idea of it becoming canon is the equivalent of a nuclear bomb level disaster?
