the things we lost (and gained) in the fire
ship: Keegan P. Russ/Logan Walker
summary: Logan's life fell apart a few months ago, ending in a brief inpatient stay. Now he's scrounging for muse anywhere he can find it, hoping to avoid his family's further concern. Everything changes at a company party over the summer, where he meets Keegan, one of his father's co-workers and higher ups in Phantom Tech. Suddenly his muse is back, and it looks, sounds, and acts a lot like Keegan.
Part of him worries that he's not ready for a relationship again, but with Keegan, nothing hurts and everything is wonderful. Logan's making art again too, which is the biggest relief, since he's depending on the Winter Showcase to fix up his art school career from the disaster that was last semester.
But some wounds don't want to stay closed, no matter how hard you try.
notes: omegaverse, t4t relationship, age gap relationship, transfemme keegan, transmasc logan, dom/sub undertones, and tags subject to change as it updates! a collab with @toastycomms!

Posting on AO3 is like, I'm doing this for myself, but also immediately refreshing the page every 5 seconds to see if you get any hits comments or kudos. But totally only writing for me.

It's such an amazing feeling when someone picks up on something in your writing that you 100% intended but didn't think people would notice. Like, YES!! all debates abt the artistic merits of fanfiction fail to recognize the purpose of fic. you don’t write fic to be published or to learn how to construct a narrative although you can use it to develop style. you write it so that your friends will message you “bestie you’re utterly deranged for this one im eating dirt”

for the love of god, write all the self-indulgent scenes you want. be utterly shameless about including every last fantasy. i know everyone likes to share quotes and quips about how miserably hard writing is, but please please try thinking of it as a joyful act where you get to be a messy human who makes art rather than some pain filled quest for icy perfection.

ship: Silco/Vander summary: Silco listens to Vander - to all the things he's said and, more importantly, things he hasn't. Things Vander doesn't want at all. notes: set in an au where, post river divorce, silco's priorities are a little bit shifted. only a little bit though.
