Last Night in Portland
TW: Violence, death, graphic depictions.
⸺ Portland, Oregon / August 6th, 2015 ⸺ IT WAS RAINING AGAIN, but then again... when doesn't it rain in Portland? Sadé wasn't bothered by it in the slightest. The rapid tapping of the water droplets against the windowsill of her bedroom brought tranquility to her aura and provided her with the opportunity to write down whatever was clouding her mind that day. Whether it be family drama, relationships, or just thoughts in general, it was written down in poem format. And as she wrote, she'd hum out melodies she thought would fit the words. She didn't want to turn them into full-blown songs just yet, but it was nice for her to have material already written for when the time came. Her most creation was titled, Note to Self: a self-help mantra she wrote after breaking up with her boyfriend. She heard the door to her home open and then close, alerting her that her parents had returned home from running errands earlier that morning.
"Sadé! You busy?" a deep voice faintly boomed out. It was Parker, her father.
Without any hesitation, the teenager closed her songbook and ventured out of her room; heading down the stairs of their two-story home, then into the living room where both of her parents stood waiting for her – a birthday cake in their hands.
"Happy birthday, princess," both Parker and Janet called out, much to the astonishment of Sadé. Speedily walking towards them, a squeal of delight sounded from her.
"Mom, Dad! You didn't have to do this!" she exclaimed, then blowing out the candles. As she did this, Parker ran one of the fingers across the cake's surface, quickly slapping the icing on his daughter's face. A light chuckle could be heard from Sadé right after he did this, looking up at her father with the most endearing look ever.
"We love you, Sadé. Gosh, they grow up so fast," Parker said.
"My mini-me's getting older. Soon enough, she'll be ready to move out and start a fami–" "Woah, woah, woaaaaah," Sadé interjected at her mother's mention of marriage and kids. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves here with the family thing, mommy. I don't plan for that to happen for a while. I know what is gonna happen though. Me eating this cake. I'll take it off of your hands now, dad."
Sadé would then take the cake, starting off towards the kitchen before the back door slammed open. An unfamiliar figure stormed into the house, startling her into dropping the cake and letting out a shriek.
Before she could even react, the next event alarmed her even more.
He transformed. What the fuck.
This was no ordinary transformation. It was severe.
The unknown man's face and body grew brown fur, canine ears, and a dog-like snout. His teeth: razor sharp.
The monster stepped towards Sadé, but not before her parents rushed to her position and realized just what she saw.
"Sadé, get back!" they simultaneously yelled, pushing her behind them.
"Hundjäger," Parker said before it advanced at him and his wife. It charged at them, but Parker was faster by a literal hair – dodging the charge throwing the Hundjäger onto the floor.
Then they transformed. Her own parents are monsters. Their faces resembled decaying corposes, although the rest of them appeared to be human. It was a sight that Sadé could barely stomach.
Without witnessing these events any further, Sadé rushed upstairs just as what sounded like a fight ensued downstairs. Adrenaline was coursing every inch of her and she felt a slight twitch in her face.
Running into the bathroom, she would look in the mirror in attempts to calm herself down, but to no avail.
"Come on, Sadé, you'll be fi-" she started, before letting out a groan. Her head began pounding uncontrollably and her face twitched even more. Only this time, what came after was inevitable.
Sadé herself had woged. She looked just like her parents.
The sight of herself looking just as hideous as her parents drove Sadé to release another shriek, the only difference between this one and the previous one was that in her newly acquired form, she released a banshee-like shriek that broke all the glass in the house. Every. Single. One.
And then everything was silent. Even the fighting downstairs.
"Mom, Dad!" she'd cry out running downstairs in anticipation to see that her parents had subdued their attackers, only to discover their dead bodies – which were reverted back to normal – and that damned Hundjäger crouched near them. He turned to face her as soon as she reached the bottom level of the stairs, standing back to his full height.
Nine times out of ten, if she wasn't running on adrenaline, Sadé would be just as dead as her parents.
Intent on making her his last victim, the Hundjäger advanced towards Sadé, who cowered in utter fear on the stairs. She let out another shriek, the loudest of the night, and the frequency caused the assailant's head to burst. He dropped to the floor, just inches away from her feet, causing her to scramble up a few more stairs.
Just like that, the Hundjäger was dead and his face reverted back to normal. This brought zero comfort to Sadé, however. She had become an orphan and a monster at the same time... on her birthday of all days. That was too much for anyone to handle, let alone someone who was a child.
The only thing she felt that she could do now was run. Run away and never, ever return to Portland.

𝙂𝙍𝙄𝙈𝙈 𝘿𝙄𝘼𝙍𝙄𝙀𝙎: 𝙃𝙀𝙓𝙀𝙉𝘽𝙄𝙀𝙎𝙏

A complete description on the Wesen species known as Hexenbiest.
You wanna learn more about Hexenbiest, you say? Look no further, all of the answers are in this Grimm Diary entry.
Hexenbiests (HEK-sən-beest; Ger. Hexe "witch" + Biest "beast") are witch-like Wesen. They can be identified by a U-shaped birthmark on the underside of their tongues. Like other Wesen, they are parahuman: exhibiting two distinct sets of DNA within the same system. The woge (or transformation) of Hexenbiest is unlike many other Wesen. When they woge, Hexenbiests still appear human; however, their skin decays to the point that it resembles a corpse, their teeth sharpen, and their hair usually turns gray. As they age, their woged form appears to be more deteriorated. This appearance, ironicly enough, is deemed as sexy by Hexenbiests. Hexenbiests are considered to be one of the most powerful Wesen, due to the many power they possess.
When woged, Hexenbiests they also possess superhuman strength, able to casually overpower a grown man and rip him apart. In their human form, they do not possess this strength. They aren't stronger than Grimms, although they are physcially capable of putting up a fight against them.
Other powers include telekinesis, pyrokinesis, time manipulation, the ability to "smell" magic, the ability to fuse together cartilage, the power of seducing those in close proximity, and the ability to breathe a gas that would render its victim unconscious.
Hexenbiests are incredibly skillful in Zaubertränke (chemistry/alchemy). These are used to many different effects, healful or harmful. Zaubertränke's effects range from emotive to deadly. Hexenbiests have an innate ability to make Zaubertränke with how they know exactly how much or what percentage of a particular ingredient should go into preparing them, and it is rather dangerous for anyone other than a skilled Hexenbiest to engage in their concoting. Their abilities are not limited to Zaubertränke, though: some Hexenbiest can create skeleton keys and very few have the ability to resurrect the dead using a two-headed snake. Hexenbiest blood is specifically required to open the Zaubertrank Recipe Book due to the special kind of lock that was cast upon it, and only Hexenbiest blood works when performing blood magic, such as using Hexenbiest blood as a way to access mirror portals. If a Hexenbiest ingests the blood of a Grimm, their Wesen part will be destroyed and they will become a normal human. The weakness is common knowledge amongst Hexenbiests but seems to be closely guarded from outsiders. Hexenbiests have the ability to detect a former Hexenbiest who has had her powers removed this way as well.

𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗘𝗥:
A nepo-baby musician with a rather. . . unconventional condition.
Sadé Iman Lascelles, known mononymously as Sadé was born in Portland, Oregon to Janet and Parker Lascelles on the date of August 6, 1999.
Music had an enormous influence on the life of Sadé. Most of her earlier life consisted of tagging alongside her parents as they worked in the music industry as A&Rs and songwriters. Her parents suspected that she’d always want to experiment with music later in life, which was apparent as her first words were sung instead of spoken. Once she began to grow older, the Lascelles made the decision to enroll Sadé in vocal lessons. They saw a light in their child and were determined to make sure it burned bright up until she was ready to bestow her gift upon the world. However, they didn’t prepare their daughter for the darker side of her life – even though they saw it coming. On the surface, Janet and Parker Lascelles appeared to be a normal married couple. They were, to an extent. Portland was full of Wesen, yet few knew the Lascelles truly were. Wesen, particularly Hexenbiest and Zauberbiest.
This life-altering information was never brought to Sadé’s attention properly as her first woge as Hexenbiest occurred under the worst imaginable circumstances. On her sixteenth birthday, an unnamed assailant broke into their home with the intent of killing her and her parents. Upon his entrance, her parents woged in front of her and advanced towards the assailant. They were unfortunately killed and beheaded after a brief battle – revealing the assailant to be a Grimm. By this moment, Sadé had woged and the adrenaline coursing her body proved to be the deciding factor in her life. She was able to subdue the Grimm, then fleeing from the house (and subsequently Portland).
In the years following this incident, Sadé was unable to speak about the specifics of this incident due to how traumatizing it was for her. Per Wesen customs, she was taken in by another Hexenbiest where she came to learn more about her true nature and how to control her powers. Her fear of Grimms soon turned into a burning hatred, but revenge was far from her desire. By the time she turned twenty-two, Sadé ventured into music as a way to honor and keep her parents in her memory.
Her debut extended play, To Die For, was released independently but has since been wiped from existence following the chanteuse's signing to RCA Records. Her debut album has yet to be announced or released.
