oh right, one reason i've been away from tumblr mostly outside occasionally poking stuff people send me from elsewhere is because as far as i know, the way certain people got treated and how that got resolved kind of uh... well, long story short, i don't feel like certain people who shall not be named (in the interest of avoiding catching their ire on my own end, given criticism of said people was exactly what caused problems in the case of some other people) are very welcoming to somebody like me after all, so i don't really feel like i have much reason to be very active here anymore.

if somebody who knows me elsewhere wants to tell me i'm wrong on that now or something, or that ever changes and somebody who knows me on another site or such can let me know, that would be appreciated, actually. in the mean time, i'm probably going to return to mostly being inactive outside maybe the occasional reblog or such.

kind of a shame that things happened with the timing they did, i'd kinda been starting to like it here. but then some of the people i liked on here, well... they're active elsewhere, and not here, and there's a reason for that.

I'm from Gaza but I've got displaced so many times from Gaza. I've got injured in the first week of this ongoing war, since that time I've been forced to leave my home to UNRWA center as a shelter. The nightmare hasn't finished, my dad has got killed in the fourth month of the war, leaving my mum and two sisters so we've taken responsibility of them in addition to my family.

This nightmare "war" has taken everything, my dad, my work, my belongings, my home which has been destroyed, my peaceful life, my peace of mind, everything!

We live in extremely hard circumstances. We have no water, no healthy food, no electricity, no healthy place, no source of money, no health care, nothing!

We live in an unhealthy environment full of diseases. I live in a tent that neither protects us from sunshines nor protects us from rain. I need a new waterproof tent which costs 1000$, my current tent is made from clothes, it doesn't protect us from rain and cold, I'm sure you'll help.

I've faced so many diseases including hepatitis and viral infection "causing fever" due to unhealthy food and environment. The food we eat is canned food although it is unhealthy and expensive.

In addition to that, my wife has faced hepatitis due to dirty bathrooms, unhealthy food and unhealthy environment we live in.

In addition to that my little innocent son, 2 years and 10 months old, has had an operation on his eyes. In brief, my life has become a miserable nightmare!

‏ Sama, 13 years old, has suffered the horrors of war at such a young age. She is in the eighth grade. Two years ago, she left school and her education and did not study anything because of this aggression.. The family of six was forcibly displaced, moving south multiple times as they endured relentless bombing, destruction, and displacement.

‏The war has ravaged their lives profoundly. Their home was destroyed, and sama’s father, who owned a perfume business, lost everything—his shops and warehouses burned to the ground. The family’s struggle is compounded by starvation, diseases, and the constant interruption of essential services like electricity and fuel. The family’s situation is further exacerbated by the loss of their livelihoods and the death of numerous relatives.

‏Currently, they live in a tent, struggling to rebuild both their home and their means of support. Despite these overwhelming challenges, sama remains resolute in her pursuit of education and her determination to help her family recover from the devastation they have endured.

‏Help them collect the travel money, so that they can travel through the Rafah crossing, to Egypt to live safely and rebuild their lives again.

Hello everyone, I have another campaign to share.

Muhammad, his wife, and their free children are fighting to survive in Ghazza. They've been displaced and are living without the most basic resources. Their youngest, Lara, doesn't have any milk to drink; their son Abboud has contracted hepatitis which they cannot treat.

This family's source of income was the children's clothing store that Muhammad ran, however it was destroyed in the bombings. They now have no way to earn money, no roof to sleep under, and no access to clean water or food.

In order to evacuate from Ghazza, rebuild their lives, and receive necessary medical care, they need to raise $40,000 CAD. As of writing, they've only raised $894 thus far.

Please help this family in any way that you can. Donate if you're able to donate, and share their campaign. Anything you can contribute will help them survive and rebuild.

I am Ahmed from Gaza, 26 years old. I stand before you as a person trying to support my family of 7: me, my father, my mother and my sisters, in our miserable circumstances, which we live in after the occupation launched the war on Gaza. We were displaced from our home and it was completely destroyed. We are now living in shelters. Due to the circumstances and low income, we are unable to provide the necessary benefits such as food and drink due to the crazy increase in prices. Thus, my source of livelihood has been destroyed, but it has been completely destroyed, as we are no longer entitled to work; and we expect to live in miserable conditions in the shelters. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in the shelters; without food, medicine or clean drinking water; with the oppression, helplessness, psychological pressures, doubts and daily shocks caused by everything around us and the inability to care for our loved ones. The fear of danger, disease and death never leaves us.

Now, I find myself in this difficult situation, and I humbly ask for your help to save the lives of my family, especially my father and mother, by getting us out of Gaza to Egypt and building a new life outside Gaza or helping us get money to buy the necessities that we may be able to afford. Asking for help is not easy, but we had no choice because we want to survive and strive to rebuild our shattered lives. We are very grateful for any help you can offer, no matter how small, as your help will go a long way in alleviating our suffering. I hope you will share my story with your family and friends.”

Apologies for taking a bit of a hiatus on this site for a bit. I'll be back for a bit today, though I don't think I'm admittedly likely to be checking my messages nearly daily. I'm not... even entirely sure I'm going to be able to get through every message I was sent while I was taking a bit of a hiatus. Apologies in advance.
