description : ‎ love faes, though rare, are an essential part of the faerie ecosystem. often born from a curse by the gods, they are made to ensure the common harmony in between people and clans. they work with all things in relation to love: most of them attend higher education programs in cupid vocations after graduating from myranthos. while they take care of love, it does not mean that they are gentle! most of them are known to be cold and others are known to be very neutral - stripped from strong emotions that could cloud their judgement. on that note, they are forbidden to date or even attempt to jump into relationships. in order not to instil biases in their day to day operations, this rule exists in order to keep them from breaking their own hearts.

traits : he radiates a natural aura that urges people to feel drawn to him. he inspires affection and trust, and often makes people feel more drawn to reconciliate with loved ones. ( they don't feel this way towards him. for instance, if he is in conflict with someone, they wouldn't feel the need to reconciliate. ) he has a natural enchanted charm that makes him seem prettier, brighter, glowy even.

⌕﹒passives ; ability : ‎ heart readings : automatically is able to read and perceive someone's feelings and how they think of themselves and others. kind of like little whispers in his ear as he walks past them, like he has access to their inner monologue. he associates those thoughts with scents, and it sometimes come to him like images running through his mind.

limitations : ‎ this ability is only in reach for caishen towards people he doesn't know very well. once he gets to know someone better, the whispers of their inner heart monologues become to dissipate. this is his main way of being able to tell how close he truly is to people: this block can be one sided, as well! for instance, even if caishen is the only party caring about the relationship, he will still not be able to have access to their inner feelings.

ability : ‎arrows of bond: he is able to use his arrows to shoot towards people and hit them with unique effects. each arrows are colour coded in order to differentiate the effect they give people. it can range between love, desire, friendship, compassion, reconciliation, lust, and hatred.

limitations : ‎while love faes never miss, anyone else who uses the arrows could definitely miss. the inability to miss lays within the love fae and not the arrows themselves. furthermore, allowing the arrows to rest within the potions necessary for the effects takes a whole night, and so the archer must make sure to have them ready at all times.

wings of fate: pretty wings that allow him to fly around! shield: a light pink aura surrounding caishen in combat whenever he needs it. fox form: his main form, the shape he grew up in for most of his life. descendants of wood protectors, he is a wood fae as well as a love fae. he typically only uses this form in the wild and with loved ones.

⌕﹒love manipulation ; heart lock ! : temporarily locks someone's emotions. this is mostly in order to shield them from heartbreak or anything that might make them irreversibly upset. it could also be used in order to make someone avoid absorbing a deep trauma ( for instance, the sighting of the death of a loved one ) .

limitations : ‎ when performing this action, caishen is the one absorbing the emotions (since they have to go somewhere). he basically swallows the other person's feelings for them, which can naturally make him very upset for a while. he does not use this a lot.

string of heart : is able to manifest little invisible strings of fate that tie two beings together. this ability is able to instill love, desire, lust, and even heartbreak towards two people. if one person comes to caishen wishing for help to break up with someone, he will most likely use that ability. however, he typically uses this ability for love and the likes when he knows that both parties are into it.

limitations : this ability is entirely based on proximity. he must get close to both parties in order to tie the string around their wrists. he and fellow love faes are the only people who can see the strings, and the odds of him getting the wrong person are fairly high! this is a lot of work for him so he doesn't typically do it.

⌕﹒mischief ;

ability : ‎switch around: temporarily swaps and switches emotions between two people for the fun of it. love is blind: blinds the bearer of the curse in order to make them focus on someone's personality and soul as opposed to their appearances.

limitations : he cannot use these abilities for a long period of time. they are also heavily frowned upon and could get him in a lot of trouble if someone caught him! the switch around cannot happen with intense emotions such as grief and rage.
