Hot take: Alya was in the right in Revelator— Marinette had absolutely no right to keep Hawkmoth’s identity a secret from Adrien. He deserves to know the truth and when he inevitably finds out on his own, he’s going to be (rightfully) pissed at Marinette/Ladybug for lying to him

(Also, why exactly did Marinette lie and say Gabriel sacrificed himself to defeat Monarch?? She couldn’t just say that he was killed as a result of the battle somehow?? Why turn the villain into a hero??? It was completely unnecessary and just makes the situation even more complicated.)

matt and foggy r so annoying bc they literally friendzoned each other. foggy was like dude ur really attractive and matt was uncomfortable so foggy backed off. matt got to know foggy and was like 'wait i'm in love lowkey' and told foggy that he's looking for a romantic partner that he really likes listening to, pulled foggy into an embrace, and called him strong. foggy, also lowkey in love, was completely oblivious/ignored these advances bc he didn't want to fumble the bag and ruin their friendship. they'd go on to do everything together (intern together, have a joint tab together, open a lawyer's practice together, walk to work every morning together) and foggy would say the most unhinged romantic shit while friendzoning matt even harder in the next breath. 'we'll share everything [...] i'm with you. for better or worse........ bc we r BUSINESS partners.' 'when matt was around, I knew who I was' matt on the other hand was bitter as hell bc the guy he was in love with kept saying said romantic shit and not meaning it the way he wanted him to. 'sounds like we're getting married' 'you're not going to kiss me, foggy'. these bitches r just so damn dumb

the mattfoggy dynamic is so fun. like foggy takes care of matt, and is so diehard protective of him it’s honestly a little painful to watch, not bc he thinks matt needs him to but bc he thinks matt deserves to be taken care of and protected. honestly I think the reason he feels so protective of matt has a million times more to do with matt’s glaringly obvious misery than it ever had to do with the blindness, which is part of why you see it continue in absolute full force after the reveal. but at the same time matt absolutely thinks that it has something to do with foggy thinking he needs to be taken care of, and so kinda hates himself and foggy for the fact that he not only loves it but actively allows it to happen. like the way foggy takes care of matt soothes his abandonment issues so thoroughly that the catholic guilt kicks in, and so matt keeps secrets and lies to him both so foggy will keep doing it and to try and create distance so matt doesn’t have to feel guilty about how well foggy takes care of him.

on the flipside matt is ALSO viciously protective of foggy but more in like the way of an abused dog and their new owner who’s rehabilitating them??? and like he just Knows foggy, toe to tip, and accepts him and loves him and believes in him in a way that foggy clearly relies on. for foggy, matt is in many ways this imperfectly perfect ideal; so righteous it inspires foggy, bc if someone like this can believe in foggy he must be capable of living up to it, but also human enough for it to be ok if he fucks up or falls short. human enough to love. and this all is what makes the lies so uniquely devastating, and why they keep coming back to each other anyways. foggy has bared his soul to matt, and it turns out matt won’t do the same for him. foggy takes care of matt, and matt has not only taken advantage of this but also prevented foggy from doing so when he needed it. and in a moment where matt needs him, foggy leaves. but there’s no world where they don’t forgive each other, bc nobody else will be able to give them what they get from each other, and they wouldn’t want to give the things they give to each other to anyone else!! they’re stuck together for LIFE baby.

Kieran Valentine being canonically gay is so fucking funny. This man is an emotional vampire who spent centuries, maybe over a thousand years, being a sleazy ladykiller with a dark magical twist. He charms, manipulates and love-bombs girls. If that fails to win their hearts, he’ll outright use mind control to completely override their free will by force. If they have another love interest, he will sabotage them. His girlfriends’ feelings and autonomy mean nothing to him. He sees them as prey, objects to possess, literally claiming trophies of their hearts. When he’s done with them, he abandons them. Their hearts then stay broken. Forever. That’s part of the spell, and they are indeed still crying in his magic pictures. They’re only allowed to heal once he’s defeated and loses his power over them.

He’s successfully “harvested” at least fourteen hearts, based on the collection we see. Monsters’ lifespans vary wildly by species, with some being immortal or extremely long-lived and some having human lifespans, so these may just be the victims who are still alive by the time of Draculaura’s 1600th birthday. And they may have been trapped in supernatural post-breakup hell for centuries on end. Some of them may have died in that state.

He’s over a thousand years old. This is the only way he knew how to consume love from his peers. How often has he done it?

And then, in the present day, he figures out that a) he can be much better satisfied by freely given love, meaning the exploitation was unnecessary, and b) he’s gay. He doesn’t like girls romantically or sexually. He just couldn’t accept that and overcompensated in the worst possible way.

Can you imagine being one of his poor exes, finally able to move on, stumbling across him and Spelldon online and finding out that he was never even into you. At all. He never even thought you were hot.
