when you take a day for photographing, how many raw pictures do you tend to come back with?
It does depend on the shoot. If it's a timelapse, I will have hundreds/thousands. Much less if it's just static images.
I also used to shoot tens of pictures per idea many years ago and ended up having to cull hundreds when I got home. These days, I focus more on just one or two RAW pictures at most when I spot something I like, and shoot maybe 20 or 30 per day on a shoot at the most. I like the idea that I have to slow down and think really hard about a shot, rather than just shoot because I can. If it's a client shoot, I will capture a lot more because it can be expensive to miss that shot. If I shoot for myself, A blurry or out-of-focus image becomes part of the image
I also like to capture video these days as well. Sometimes I'll take a picture, then record a vignette or cinemagraph of about 15-30 seconds of the same or a very similar shot.
