Taken back by the sudden appearance of the dark, slender man. The dragon rider then squinted eyeing the other and his actions. This man, something about him didn’t seem right. More like, nothing about him seemed right at all. watching the other’s bony fingers clasp the staff he held. 

❝ Oh, I bet it was... haha...I’ve been through worse. ❞ Snorting and with a huff he continued. ❝ He’ll find me.. We are connected. ❞ Brows furrowed into a more serious expression.   ❝ Though the weird part is.. A mysterious guy like you, dressed in all black, lurking about. Who are you? ❞  

“The gods? Oh, I don’t know about that… but I certainly am.” 

Pitch announced himself with this wry remark, as was his custom, from the shadow of large pine. It was just possible to separate his black outline from the trees in the gathering dark of evening. A slender figure. Tall. Finely dressed and carrying a pronged staff. As he rested a shoulder against the bark and watched Hiccup floundering on the forest floor, his eyes caught the dwindling light and shone metallic gold.

“I don’t believe I’ve ever seen anyone fall from a dragon in such a spectacular way. It was quite a show.” His mocking voice floated softly on the air like smoke. He glanced up to the forest canopy. “And the woods here being so thick… I wonder if he’ll ever find you?”

You got that right. Feels like this is taking forever, but this is the last one that needs to be signed--and done! Now Jack, what mischievous plans do you have today?

About time. It’s a perfect snowy day out there. It would be such a shame to waste it on something as dull as paperwork.

❝ Oh, Gods... W-Well-- I’ll explain. Just don’t touch-- ❞ Hearing the sound of the sling shot release the bolas, hitting selves, knocking down the stuff they barred. 

❝ That... Ugh Jack... Really? ❞  Beginning to pick up the scattered items. with a reluctant sigh. ❝ Basically, this machine throws the bolas for me... Well, since-- you know. I am not the strongest guy. ❞

“Huh, why? It’s so… weird looking.” He squints at the odd tool before putting it down, swiftly walking off to investigate some other strange object in the forge.

“What’s this for?” He raises an eyebrow at the viking, crouching down to look at some strange invention. A hand is placed on the strange object and- ah, bad idea. The contraption sets off in a thundering sound, shooting something and knocking Jack right off his feet. “Haha… oops.”

❝ Disgusting... ❞ Gagging from the smell. His brows furrowed, giving the other a squint. ❝ Did you just call me Hiccy? You know, I didn’t think my name could get any less intimidating, but you sir have proved me wrong. ❞

“Heck, I’m laughing,” Jack snorted unattractively. “Who wouldn’t after you somersaulted into a pile of rotten fish guts? You’re somethin’ else Hiccy.”

Oh? Well, I couldn’t lose your company even if I tried. 

Haha, it’s fine. I am actually almost done. I don’t think you would be very helpful anyways. 

Exactly! Besides, it just means you have the pleasure of my company for longer.

Alright, I’m gonna hold you to it though. I’d offer to help but even just the word “paperwork” gives me chills… uh, metaphorical chills…

This is true, Berk wouldn’t have its same luster without its cold weather.

Me? Boring? Not going to happen. I got way too much shenanigans to get to... This paperwork is getting in the way though. 

Heheh yeah- oops… Berk wouldn’t be the same without the snow though, right?? Aheh… But hey, you’d better not be getting all boring on me now, oh Mr. Important Chieftain.

Pfff, its always a snow day here in Berk. You like to make that possible. I wish I could get away, but when you are the new Chieftain...That-- makes it a little difficult. 

Sounds like you need a snow day. It can’t hurt to ignore your responsibilities for a little bit.
