So why do we sell lock picks? Hidden lock picks at that?
Do we like to aid criminals in the snatching of your valuables?
Do we support breaking and entering?
Do we enable criminals to hide their intentions, and get away with their crimes?
The short answer is no.
  The long answer is that:
Our enthusiasm for picking locks and defeating physical security in general is tied
to our philosophical belief in the NEED for freedom, specifically, freedom of information.
Like any hobbyist, hacker, maker, or curious soul will tell you, we want to know how things work.
We don't need a reason, we only seek understanding.
But in this instance, we have reasons.
Why would anyone want to pick locks??
Whether it is pleasure or necessity, learning to pick locks is a skill that can save you from an expensive locksmith bill, or it can serve as a challenging puzzle.
Why would anyone want to hide lock picks??
Because of the ignorance, and taboo surrounding lock picking,
law enforcement officers have been known to bother people carrying lock picks, as a result law abiding citizens must hide their legal property for fear of harassment.
Beyond that, part of the novelty of learning a new skill, is showing off to your friends, and what better a way, than to pull lock picks out of your belt,
and save the day like James Bond.
I don't mean to fear monger, Do you know exactly how secure your home is from burglers?
Chances are, you're happier not knowing.
Lock picks don't work by themselves. They require practice, and willful intent.
Tools cannot be guilty. A gun cannot commit murder, and lock picks don't burglarize homes.
So join us, the lock picking community, and continue to defend against the illusion of security.
