THE AUTISTIC ALL FATHER, FROM WHICH HIS CHILDREN INHERITED MUCH

1) Speaks in a performative way at nearly all times, both in front of an audience and to his kids. Prone to dramatic gestures.

2) ALWAYS wears dark goggles. Possibly light sensitive?

3) Struggles to empathize with his son. Possibly has low empathy in general. Still cares tremendously about the human race and improving people's lives. He also loves his children, in his own messy, stilted way.

4) HYPERFIXATED on science. It's his whole thing. To say he's passionate about it is an understatement.

5) Keeps a rigid schedule and understanding of time.

6) Doesn't seem to have much of a social life?? He talks to people but they're always related to his work in some way or another. He doesn't like, go out to get drinks it looks like, or schedule to meet with people outside of work. Even in his possible downtime it looks like he's inventing more stuff because he loves science that much.

Propaganda:

I'd be remiss to miss SHE, who is possibly even more on the spectrum than her brother

1) Hyperfixated on video games, they're basically all she cares about and wants to play.

2) Easily overwhelmed by noise and turns volatile from sensory overload. It's a consistent part of her!!! (It's a common headcanon she squints all the time because she doesn't like the light.)

3) Seems to dislike being touched.

4) Expresses low empathy but shows an attachment to objects. She was VERY upset to lose a vampire toy and held onto that pain for YEARS.

5) Dislikes socializing and is often quiet, replying in short sentences or grunts.

6) Disproportionately reacts to situations (mild infractions are more likely to faze her than potential word-ending calamities)

7) Dislikes change (gets uncomfortable in Mopiness of Doom when Dib gives up on his special interests for a while, even though those same interests annoy her consistently)

8) Odd sense of fairness that only really makes sense to her, in universe.

They're both so incredibly dumb but in different areas and I love it LMAO

He has an intense fixation on the cryptids/aliens/the paranormal/etc (frequently infodumping about it to his sister despite her not wanting to hear it. his inability to recognize/remember that is definitely him missing social cues), has an INCREDIBLY strong sense of justice, low empathy, bad at understanding boundaries, in some of the later episodes he sometimes makes squee noises when he's excited that resemble vocal stimming.

Any other details:

he's my favorite character ever and the subject of my own autistic hyperfixations <3 <3 <3 my son my world my baby boy.
