"Dirty South Slow Jam" by MISTER.MAN
"I stood in a parking deck and listened to the last ten minutes of the Falcon’s game today. I have no problems admitting that up until this point, I haven’t paid much mind to professional football this year. Generally speaking, I can take it or leave it. I’m more of a baseball fan, because I have the soul of an 80-year-old. But, that doesn’t stop me from getting pretty excited when my hometown team is doing well. I even threw my fists up into the air when whatsis name scored that important goal-point-unit at the end of the game. It’s thrilling. Feeling like you’re apart of something feels good. . ."

"Slow Jam Sunday [New Year's Edition]" by Mister.Man
"Last year on New Year’s Eve I watched a friend tape fireworks to his wheelchair and ride up and down the street as they shot off behind him. I remember drinking too much and having a good time. . ."

"An Airing of Grievances" by ECH
"This year is the first year where I won’t be celebrating the holidays with the family, so I’ve decided to set out on my own traditions with my first annual Secular Holidaython. In addition to the second week of major college football’s bowl week (bowl week is four weeks long, and if you don’t understand college football by now, you never will), I’ve also celebrated the Winter Solstice on the 21st, and coming up in the next few days are National Eggnog Day on the 24th, Django Unchained Release Day on the 25th, and Boxing Day on the 26th. Today’s holiday is Festivus, a celebration born in the spirit of anti-commercialism. One of the most important aspects of Fesitvus is the Airing of Grievances, and without having my family here to express my disappointment at, I’ve taken the time to let the music industry know where they’ve faltered in 2012. . ."

"Book Nook Finds" by MISTER.MAN
"Now that I’m living back in Atlanta, I’m rediscovering the things that I always liked about this city. It’s been nice having old familiar places around town. I like being back “home.”
I went to Book Nook for the first time in years today. Gotta keep up the lonely-soul record store / book store patron persona. And if I happen to find some cool books and records and Christmas gifts while I’m working on my image, so be it. . ."

"Magical Musical Journey [Weeks of 12/3/12 and 12/10/12]" by SEAN
"My lil musical dude’s journey continues, and this time he’s gone for two weeks without a break. Oddly enough, the amount of music is about the same – I got hung up on some really great albums that seemed to pass me by earlier in the year. And now it’s time to share, boys and girls. . ."

"mumbledust and their Wintertime EP" by MISTER.MAN [link]
"I’m not that big a fan of Christmas music, I must admit. I’m that guy that got Vince Guaraldi Trio’s Charlie Brown Christmas album, but past that I’m not crazy about most holiday hits. I always hold out hope that whenever I hear a band that I genuinely enjoy do Christmas songs that I’ll really like them, but I usually don’t. . ."

"Slow Jam Sunday: Whole-Hearted Hip-Hop" by MISTER.MAN [link]
"I’ve always been of the opinion that everyone can and should find at least one song from every genre that they can appreciate, and enjoy listening to. I’ve never put this to the test, nor would I necessarily know how to go about doing that, but I stand by that feeling. From a personal standpoint, I’d like to think that I do a decent job of being open-minded in that regard, and from that I have developed a pretty broad familiarity with music. . ."

"Gotta Keep Runnin' (Aimless, Restless)" by ECH [link]
Mixtape Download Link
"This started as a mixtape I threw together for my road trip from Iowa back to Savannah. I decided to put it together a little better and share it with these here Internets. It’s a collection of garage/punk/surf/noise/etc. rock songs that I’ve been listening to repeatedly since Halloween. Some of these songs have been among my favorites for a long time, and some I’ve found in the past few weeks. They’re loud, messy, and abrasive, as rock music should be. It’s a good set to listen to while traveling, or just daydreaming about running away. I’ve been doing quite a bit of both lately. . ."

"Slow Jam Sunday: 'Blowing Up the Blogosphere'" by MISTER.MAN [link]
"The internet world went cu-razy this past week with the identity reveal of Captain Murphy, and the release of Duality Deluxe. [Download here]
I’ve listened to Duality and the Duality [instrumentals] companion on repeat since they debuted last Wendesday.
It’s good. It’s really good."

"Noise+Music: Johnny-Come-Lately" by JOE [link]
"In the time of Duran Duran and Yazoo, there was a band called Talk Talk. Talk Talk became rich and famous for their synthpop, and only later in their career did they take an experimental turn right before breaking up. What does that mean? I don’t know. I felt like I needed to write some type of background on them in the intro because if you’re not familiar with Talk Talk, the song I want to talk about, called Piano, both is and isn’t what they were famous for among different groups of fans. But that seems like a stupid idea now. Live and learn, but don’t delete. . ."

"Slow Jam Sunday - November 25th, 2012" by MISTER.MAN [link]
"I hope each and every one of you had a pleasant Thanksgiving, whether you spent it enjoying time with friends and family, or whether you spent it ranting about the political incorrectness of the holiday. Days off from work are days off from work my friend, and don’t you forget it. . ."

"Sean's Magical Musical Journey [Week of 11/12/12]" by SEAN [link]
"He’s been hanging around in the same musical places for a while now, and he’s never gotten the opportunity to step outside his comfort zone too much. And while he seems to be pretty happy with that setup, I have grown tired of it. As his wrathful and omnipowerful lord, I think it’s about time he went on a dang journey. . ."

'Now, the making of a good compilation tape is a very subtle art. Many do’s and don’ts. First of all you’re using someone else’s poetry to express how you feel. This is a delicate thing.' -Rob Gordon, High Fidelity
I made you this mixtape. You can listen to it below, or download it here."
