bf5 was really in the peak web era. we had realalienartifacts.com, a throwaway gag in one episode, become a real website (well a static image, but still a real website). wasnt even an ad for battle force 5, it led nowhere. you could watch the whole damn series for free on the website. with web exclusive mini episodes, appropriately titled webisodes. it had flash games. it had wallpapers. and you could log onto tumblr or deviantart or facebook to see fan reactions to tezz volitov in real time. hwlr doesnt have that. well in fairness you could still log onto tumblr or deviantart or facebook to see live reactions to cruise rearview but why even do that anymore. it has one collaboration with a pre-existing hot wheels mobile game. not even a website. and they make you pay for it. acceleracers made you pay for it. team hot wheels made you pay for it. but battle force 5 didn't give a fuck
