This track is good but dangit does it ever make me want to do drugs. It reminds me of what an opioid high’s actually like and why it’s so easy to get addicted to that stuff. I won’t touch that crap again, especially not now knowing all the gross stuff that’s out there. It would only be a matter of time before I got something bad I’d be a goner. I’m not ready to make that final of a decision, I’m too young.

Addiction’s really effed up. It sweeps you off your feet and before you even know what’s happening, you’re trapped in its death grip. No one really knows what they’re getting themselves into before it’s too late. It’s hard to grasp what an addiction’s like if you’ve never dealt with one yourself. It’s really creepy and defies all logic. You know what you’re doing is really bad and could kill you yet you literally feel like you’re going to die if you don’t keep doing it. It’s an endless cycle.

I know there’s a lot of cliche stuff out there saying “drugs are bad”, “just say no”, and other nonsense. I’m very much against all that prohibitory scare-tactic bullshit. When it comes to opioids though, I feel like a warning is warranted. If you’re not already using them, please don’t. I’m begging you. It’s never been more dangerous to develop a smack habit. Even if it’s just pills to start with, chances are it’s only a matter of time before either your doc cuts you off or they just stop working and you need something stronger. 

Take care of yourselves and hang in there. If you’re struggling and thinking of using as a way of coping, please reach out to someone and talk about your feelings. The relief of just talking and sharing with another human being can be more powerful than any high out there.

Been on a crazy happy hardcore kick since Halloween. I put together a very late 90s/early-mid 2000s kandi kid outfit complete with kikwear jeans. Now I just can’t get enough of the music. I was sort of into happy hardcore and trance as a teenager but not as heavily as I am right now. I always wanted to be a kandi kid but knowing what things were like back then, the parental units most certainly wouldn’t have approved. Guess it’s never too late to follow your heart <3

I want to go out to a modern rave dressed oldskool and see if anyone else wants to join me and pull out their old phat pants and kandi. Oh what fun that would be :3

This song was super popular a couple of years ago when I was at the height of my participation in the local drum and bass scene. Hearing it now after having been on a hiatus, I’m being reminded of how awesome the scene is and all the positive vibes I took home from the dance floor. I’m thinking it’s time to start begging for the bassline and relishing in that dirty love again <3

This song is a reminder of past me, what I used to be like. I now know that I don’t exist to please everyone. That was a tough lesson to learn. Present me is working hard on conquering these defects and has learned that martyrdom is toxic to everyone. #recoveryramblings

Reaching out for help when you’re down and having trouble is super important. You don’t have to do this alone. There are others out there who have open hearts and can understand your struggle. They may be hard to find sometimes but they’re out there. You’re never alone. Don’t forget that my friends.
