The California slender salamander in action! This is a juvenile/adolescent salamander; something fun to note about the species is that they hatch directly as tiny adults, they don’t have a period of time where they are solely in water like other amphibians. They aren’t terribly large creatures when full grown so this one will double in size I think and be mostly tail!
