Novel? You write? What’s it about?

Oh my goodness, I'm so glad that you asked!

I absolutely love writing! I have been writing ever since I was young.

The novel that I have been working on lately is a fantasy story, and I might've snuck in people that I know personally... including myself. The characters are under different names, of course, since I would like to be anonymous. If I end up publishing my works, I would certainly go under a pen name.

Here is a half-summary of what I have written so far. Warning, this includes too much rambling!:

I have yet to come up with a title (I have thought about many and banished them to the recycle bin), but it's about a princess who finds that she is stripped of her memories and can't recall her former self. She meets a man who takes care of her, but he is accused of her kidnapping, so they are constantly on the run because he is seen as a false criminal. They encounter the princess' relative, who is also the man's close friend and a tavernkeeper (technically a runaway prince), and he provides shelter in the meantime.

The princess then goes missing after having a sudden and spontaneous mental break upon finding hints about her true self, and the man and the tavernkeeper have to find her. As they are searching, they find a victim outside of the map that suffered the same conundrum as the princess, and they reveal that they know more about who the real criminal is. The group eventually find the princess, but in an irreversible state, and they have to do what they can to bring her back before they lose her. During this time, the man is now being accused of murder, and he has nowhere else to go. It's only a matter of time before he is caught and executed for a crime that he didn't commit.

There are thousands of details that I'm leaving out because we would be here all day if I were to thoroughly explain them, so I feel as though this summary is lackluster. I have created several species for this story as well. Maybe I will doodle them one day and post them if anyone is interested?

I am not the greatest artist but I'd consider myself decent at doodling. I've gotten into the habit of drawing and practicing my calligraphy to leave sticky note reminders on Kazui's work computer. Lately, he is a little hard for me to read, but I think that he likes them.

I am doing great today! It has just been the usual routine. Kazui and I go to work, then we go home, and then he visits the bar while I stay home and work on a novel that I have been in the process of writing for months. There is no telling when it will be complete because I'm normally exhausted by the end of the day.

Looks like I rambled a little bit there...

I'm Hinako Mukuhara. You may know me as Kazui's wife. I'm very pleased to meet you! 🙂

I work alongside Kazui in the NPA and I am 38 years old. When I'm not working, I love to read and write! I have a big soft spot for fantasy and sci-fi material.

I have the tendency to be awkward at times, so please bear with me. When I get flustered in social situations, I have a habit of taking jokes too literally and correcting them, so I can only hope that doesn't deter anyone.
