I think Niko was shamed for having worked for the Ottoman state at Parga so they had to leave there. Niko and Esmanur continued to live in some other Mediterranean town and lived happily ever after. This is why Nigar couldn’t find them at Parga.
Also, Nigar went to Parga. She had been to Parga! She, like, had been there. The only character besides Ibrahim and his family who went there. I often forget this because I hyperfocus on her having gone to her hometown Sulina as well.

Yes!
Heathcliff even scolds his son by saying “My game was so good that I would be the owner of her father’s estate by now!”
“‘And are you glad to see me?’ asked she, reiterating her former question and pleased to detect the faint dawn of a smile.
‘Yes, I am. It’s something new to hear a voice like yours!’ he replied. ‘But I have been vexed, because you wouldn’t come. And papa swore it was owing to me: he called me a pitiful, shuffling, worthless thing; and said you despised me; and if he had been in my place, he would be more the master of the Grange than your father by this time. But you don’t despise me, do you, Miss?’”
(Chapter 23)
my favorite part of Wuthering Heights is when Linton Heathcliff almost ruins Heathcliff’s master plan to get Thrushcross Grange bc Linton Heathcliff’s rizz is so fucking bad that he can’t write decent love letters to Catherine Linton so Heathcliff literally has to write them for him

“In summer Miss Catherine delighted to climb along these trunks, and sit in the branches, swinging twenty feet above the ground; and I, pleased with her agility and her light, childish heart, still considered it proper to scold every time I caught her at such an elevation, but so that she knew there was no necessity for descending. From dinner to tea she would lie in her breeze-rocked cradle, doing nothing except singing old songs—my nursery lore—to herself, or watching the birds, joint tenants, feed and entice their young ones to fly: or nestling with closed lids, half thinking, half dreaming, happier than words can express.”
(Chapter 22, Wuthering Heights)

"why did you stop writing your story!!! never stop writing!!!!!!!!!!!" well you see the character had to drive one mile to a new location and the sentence "she got into the car" was quite simply my undoing

I find it very interesting that the most “progressive” anti-Ottoman Empire anti-Turkey people in this fandom tend to prefer Hatice to her family’s slaves? What’s that all about? What is the psychology behind it?

Comment under Episode 24 (the episode after the one where Ibo finds Leo’s letter on Nigar, the episode where Leo dies)
Translation:
“Ibo is in love with Nigar. He went mad with jealousy. He can’t say this, so he is letting out his anger caused by this on the girl. He is trying to touch her in some way. What does it mean to lean your forehead on the girl’s forehead?”
The best YouTube comment under a Magnificent Century episode. This is canon to me.

He thought he did something…
And he did do something actually. People’s main argument for why Ibrahim didn’t love Nigar is “He left her so suddenly and was indifferent to her after that”.
how yılmaz şahin felt after making ibrahim suddenly come back to Hatice as if he felt nothing to Nigar :

Bro still thinks he is on vacation 😭
Read my fanfic The Return.
It has:
- Ibrahim losing his position.
- Them living in Parga now.
- Nigar getting a happier ending.
- Esmanur being a baby genius.
- Manolis being exasperated.
- Niko being based.
- A minor plot twist.
- Nigar being the sly fox she is.
- Nigar occasionally talking back to Ibrahim.
- A Hatice POV chapter where I think I managed to be empathetic to her.
- Ibrahim being pathetic.
- Nigar and Ibrahim having sex (not described, sorry).
- People telling Ibrahim to get a job.
It doesn’t sound too exciting maybe but I think it is the best fanfic I had written.

This is from the Azerbaijani opera Leyla and Mecnun by Üzeyir Hacıbeyov. Composed in 1907, it is the first ever opera composed by a Muslim.
In this part the women of the community advice Leyla’s mother to not send her daughter to school anymore because her association with her classmate/beloved Kays (Mecnun) is ruining her reputation.

Favvv İbrahim moments?
Hahahha a tough one! Thanks for asking<3
Most are little things that make his personality or ibosuly/nibrahim/hurrem parallels moments. Many of them, it means:D
I love the moment we find out the poor fucker sleeps with a dagger under his pillow, ready to attack whoever comes in. I LOVE that he's shown to be terrified and insecure mess immediately, and this makes the viewer know his motivations early on and not assume he's just power hungry OR blindly empire drooling. I love every lik moment where we see what he likes, be it sweets or writing diaries or reading Dante or simping over art and statues and Alexander the Great. I like when he's there, young and happy, with Suleiman who calls him the keeper of his dreams. I love ofc the poetry of Suleiman to Ibrahim, and how he remembers every word of it immediately. I love that he makes tiny ship for Esmanur himself. I love to see him play violin. I love when he is furious of pashas assuming Suleiman is playing favorites or weak and soft -- not for himself, but for them daring to insult Suly. I love when so much later he's furious to STILL be seen as an outsider and basically non-Muslim, when he's furious over random people, or angry at Ebasuud effendi not seeing his charity work, hah. I like when he dies of course, the whole long set of scenes before it, too. I love the diary readings in his voice, so tender and loving. I LOVE the final scene of Hurrem coming to his grave. I love when he's so unbelievably cute with baby Mustafa, teaching him to write or playing with him, and how heartbroken he is (not angry at a kid, of course, just sad and crushed) when his beloved little Mustafa, too, calls him a slave. And I like the scene on the boat with Mehmet, Ibo was sweet there, and genuinely sharing a bit. I love the tenderness and passion of him with Nigar, the quiet comfort he finds with her, and boldness of his horniness, the whole "yeaaah no Matrakci, you are not marrying her, sawry" scheme lmao. I like how he seems to get there something that truly feels completing him and calming him and making him less miserable in his everyday life (tho of course he doesn't admit he's miserable fully, just that he's between heaven and hell, allthat). I love how he loves Esmanur and how he talks to Niko about the shit that went down with Hatice and Nigar. I don't really love his family scenes because I wish there was way more and better explored, but I love the wedding scene where his father gifts him a tool for repairing fisherman nets and Ibrhaim gets teary-eyed. I love every scene of Suly surpriiiise, of course, the wedding where he gifts Ibrahim-the-European a ring, the first promotion, the vizier appointment, the "enemy of love" with Suly's heartbroken, upset and angry tone...
I love that Ibo and Suly ran away on a boat together as teens, and ah, shame we didn't have it as a shown scene. I love when Ibo was writing poetically near the campfire and Suly caught him, and Ibo lied and Suly laughed. I love when Hurrem and Ibo were beefing, like the famous assassin turbo ninja scene near the end, or the failed deal proposed by Ibo, or the one where they are all "grrrr noone is taking Suly from me grrr". And the final supper ofc.
And oh, i probably am missing a hundred more scenes i like or love or consider ughhhh the best -- my memory IS shit, after all, but we will be here all day shshdhhshs
