All The Small Things 3

 I’ve heard about the idea of Monster Arm being a symbol of Marco’s pent up rage.

I think you could definitely see it that way.

Marco is insecure, he gets teased, he feels like he’s more of an adult then his parents (Goblin Dogs), he is ashamed of the things he likes that he needs to justify anything he likes that is “non-manly” (His ringtone, the ballet shoes..), he feels inferior compared to Star, He tends to bottle up when he’s hurt….

Monster Arm was him literally him letting out all the anger his used to keep to himself.

Considering “Just Friends”, Star probably now knows about Marco’s love for Love Sentence.

But in “Red Belt”, he seemed rather uncomfortable when Star brought it up to him, like he hadn’t told her prior.

He was also like this when Tom brought it up in Friend-Enemies too.

(( Tom has a hidden shrine in his carriage, does anyone else feel like he ALSO kept his love for the band secret from Star?))

I like that they bond over something they used to be ashamed of liking, it’s honestly really sweet.

Tom’s more expressive about his emotions, and Marco tends to keep them hidden….

but they can both really blow up when they get angry

I think these two bonding the way they did was important, especially because they not only can bond over insecurities….but they both have a lot to relate to….

being made fun of, struggling with emotions, parental issues (It’s not confirmed that Tom does have these issues, but there is evidence that he most likely does)…

having someone who can understand and relate to you is really nice, and it might be the thing that strengthens their relationship in the future.

So Tom’s also got this weird obsession with cereal in “Friend-Enemies” (Dork), and I wonder if it’s either because he just REALLY likes the stuff…

Or..

Since we know he clearly likes to spy on Star and Marco…

He noticed that Marco normally eats cereal for breakfast..

And the reason he offered him cereal and got all of these cereal dispensers was purposely to impress him. XDD

Would you honestly be surprised if this was true tho?
