Stayford was selfish, his emotional dependence on Bill Cipher and how he ruined the lives of those who loved him without he realizing it

Look, first of all, I want to make it very clear that this is not an attack on the character, Besides Ford, he's my favorite character after Stan, but i think Ford has some aspects that I think we should notice.

Firstly, it's that thing from the last post I mentioned that I mentioned, that Ford doesn't love the stand as much as it loves him, that Ford doesn't value Stan as much, but even so Stan he spent years and years dedicating his life to trying to bring his brother back and even so, Ford didn't pay attention to it, he didn't care, so much so that as soon as he left the portal he arrived and punched Stan in the face and he didn't even apologize for that, afterwards and didn't even thank his brother, because as I said, at the end he said thank you, but it was also a sarcasm thank you.

It kind of starts there, his brother was always by his side, took care of him, defended him and when Stan needed him Ford wasn't there, when Stan was being kicked out of the house due to an accident that he didn't even intend to cause committed, Ford didn't do anything, it's not that I'm saying he doesn't have the right to be upset or mad at his brother for ruining his chance of getting into college, but still man, it was his twin brother and he didn't even try to talk to his father or try to resolve things and didn't even try to defend Stan like he always defended Ford, he didn't do anything.

And then years later, when he did all that shit there because of Bill, he simply calls Stan for help asking him to go as far as possible with the diary even though he knows that Stan's biggest dream was to live with Ford. And furthermore, based on what I said in the previous post, about their anniversary there is that page in Bill's book where he says that Bill gave him that gift that was dead rats.

But then, nothing about Stan, nothing, he didn't even think about his own brother because he was so fixated on Bill and his research.

Everyone here probably knows Fliderford and knows how much he cared about Ford, to the point of putting Ford's name as the password on his computer and losing years and years with his family. To end up going mad because of Ford's ambition for knowledge that was fueled by Bill Cipher. I bet Fiddleford had tried many times to warn Ford about Bill, so much so that a scene of Ford meditating on an altar to Bill shows Fiddleford looking at him disapprovingly.

And one thing that makes me a little resentful of Ford is the Christmas pages, which Fiddleford took the time to make a gift for him and not one for his son or wife, showing how much Fiddleford put Ford first before his own family, and Ford probably didn't notice it.

I've been thinking and reflecting and I think about how Fiddleford is a suffering and even sad character. Losing years and years of his family, losing his mental health and sanity, losing the love and attention of his son, and all because of one thing... Stanford.

Look, I don't think Ford was aware of all the damage that was happening, because he apparently always had his head stuck in his research and in Bill Cipher, but I don't put all the blame on Bill, since Ford was an adult and should have known better who to trust, yes, he was manipulated, but if he hadn't trusted Bill Cipher a lot of things would have happened differently. (Gravity Falls probably wouldn't even happen)

But now back to the main topic, I also want to point out that he called Dipper to be his assistant and apprentice, I'm not saying this was bad, it was actually a great opportunity for Dipper, but what I mean is that Ford didn't think about Mabel, he didn't even think about how he was shaking the relationship between the two younger twins, just like he did with his relationship with Stan. Think about it, Dipper and Mabel's parents were probably in the middle of a divorce (as mentioned in Dipper's dream about him accidentally witnessing his parents fighting) and Mabel was going to be alone without the person she loved the most and who was always there for her, the story of the Pines twins was going to happen again.

It upsets me that Ford didn't think of Mabel as much as he did of Stan in his teenage years (when Stan was kicked out of the house).

"Ah, but Stan had Mabel as his favorite."

Yes, I know that, but even so he never stopped thinking about the two twins, so much so that he only teased Dipper with the intention of helping him grow and become stronger so that he wouldn't have to the same fate as Stan, he cared and thought about the future of both twins, unlike Ford who chose only Dipper.

I'm not saying he doesn't love Mabel, he actually adores her and has a lot of things in common with her, like writing in a diary and wearing sweaters, but that part about her breaking up with Dipper is what bothers me.

Now about your emotional dependence on Bill Cipher. I think he has this because he seemed very attached to Bill and several times in the book he says that he missed Bill when he disappeared from his head, not caring how much harm Bill did to him and his body when he took control of him. Ford says several times in the book that his body was sore from the highly dangerous things and situations that Bill put him in and yet Ford never put a stop to it. He only stopped when he saw how traumatized Fiddleford had become and when he confronted the yellow triangle who quickly gave the game away and exposed that he had been deceiving Ford all along.

And then in the final moment where he would shoot Stan with the memory-erasing gun, you can see that Ford was hesitant, about having to shoot Stan but also about erasing Bill Cipher, the muse he had for so long.

Ford spent several fragile moments with Bill Cipher and became very attached to him. Bill in turn did the same, because it is clear how bad Bill felt after separating from Ford.

Bill and Ford are a relationship just like Lapis lazuli and Jasper in Stiven's universe, a toxic and harmful relationship for both parties in the relationship, in addition to dependence, emotional overload, trauma, and physical damage. Ford probably got a few scratches here and there from when Bill would take over his body and roll around on the floor or any dangerous place, plus a tattoo in a very... specific place (In the area above the butt).

Bill is also a character with a great story and tragic lore behind him, but I will talk about that another time.

Look, guys, I see Ford as a lovable character who has suffered a lot and made a lot of mistakes and who is learning from them, yes, he is often selfish as I have shown, but he regrets it. As demonstrated when he apologizes to old Mcgucket in the end it is even shown that he tried to repair his friendship with the same one who forgives him.

We make mistakes, we are human, we make mistakes and we learn from them. It is not wrong to make mistakes but it is important to learn from them.

Well, folks, that's all for now, from what I can think of at least, Ford is my favorite character along with Stan and I love exploring the personality and attitude of the two that they had, because as I said rather, liking a character means knowing their good and bad points.

Stanford didn't love Stanley as much Stanley he loved him

I've been thinking about this for a while and analyzing it while I endured the two seasons of Gravity Falls and I came to this conclusion. That Ford didn't love Stan as much as Stan loved him, like, Ford would sacrifice Stan for the world but Stan would sacrifice the world for Ford. And how do I prove this argument? It's simple.

Stanley protected Stanford from childhood of the bullies, has always been by his side through the best and worst moments, like when a girl threw juice at him during the dance and then Stanley threw juice at himself too so Ford wouldn't feel bad or humiliated, felt extremely bad when he heard that Ford was leaving and going to college and leaving alone. Then he was kicked out of the house due to the accident at Ford's project, who even after seeing his brother's situation also abandoned him.

I'm not saying Ford didn't have the right to be upset with Stan, but damn, seeing your twin brother who always protected you and stood by your side the whole time get kicked out of the house so badly and doing nothing sounds very selfish to me.

And then years in the future, while Stan was committing his spree of deception and fraud on the law, Ford was making one of the biggest mistakes of his life, which was to trust Bill Cipher and let him have control of his mind and body. Which, as we know, ended very badly, to the point where he had to call Stanley to help him.

And then Stan hoped that he could again seeing his twin brother and being able to have him by his side again ended up having all his expectations shattered when he saw that his brother just wanted him to go as far away as possible with one of his diaries. Triggering a fight in which Stan ended up injured with a strangely shaped burn mark on his shoulder, and pushing his brother into the portal and then running towards him begging for him to come back.

And then for thirty years he devoted himself to bringing Stanford back, he committed robberies (not that he didn't do them before), he broke the law (again not that he didn't do them before), deceived the people he loved most (Dipper and Mabel), stopped taking care of himself, and dedicated years and years just for his brother. Then when he succeeds in bringing Ford back, he is met with a punch in the face and no thanks.

I understand that Ford was worried that the world could be destroyed and all, but man, was it so hard to apologize for the punch and thank his brother afterwards?

And even so, Ford only thanked Stan because he was forced to and even then it was sarcasm, and then Stan sacrificed himself for him and for everyone in Gravity Falls by switching places with Ford and have his mind invaded by Bill Cipher to defeat him soon after.

And again coming back to that phrase but a little different, "Ford would sacrifice Stan for the world but Stan would sacrifice himself for Ford."

Now one thing that made me a little indignant with Ford when I read Bill's book, on the page where Ford said about his birthday, he didn't talk about Stan at all, he didn't remember his own twin brother who had a birthday that same day, the person who cared most about him in the world was forgotten by him and only called when Ford was out of options and needed someone trustworthy to disappear along with his diary.

I've seen several pieces of art and text that say that Ford is the brain and Stan is the heart, and I honestly agree, Ford is intelligent, planning and accurate while Stan is emotional, careless and affectionate (in his own grumpy way but he is), it even reminds me of a song called "Choice" by an artist called Jack Stauber. (just a silly curiosity)

But getting back to the subject, I know Ford had his reasons, and I know he loves Stanley and values him very much and cares and loves his family, but I wanted to highlight a little how much Stan tried for him, and in fact, it was a lot. Both Stan twins have been through some tough times leading to trauma for both of them and I was extremely happy when I watched the last episode and saw that now both of them are together fulfilling their long-awaited dream together and making up for lost time from years and years without each other.

Please don't take this post as an attack on the character, Stanford is my favorite character along with Stan, I love them both, but loving a character means knowing his good and bad points. If you have a different thought please share it, but without being offensive.

Hello hello Five Nights At Freddy's fans, It's good to be back, I've been having some problems with excessive tiredness, maybe a bit of a bornout, but I'm improving and trying to make the most of it whenever I feel interested in making a post (which I admit, is difficult). But well, today I came to bring you some content that I found online about the FNAF film and things that I think should be more valued, like interviews and things like that, so stick with the post, I hope you like it, enjoy reading. 💛

Warning: This post is not yet 100% complete, as I find more and more things I will add them to the post.

To start off, I want to say that I really loved this film and I can't wait to find out if they make a sequel, I could barely contain my joy when I watched it and boy, when I saw Steve Raglan/William Afton played by Matthew Lillard I could only scream (seriously, I fell even more in love with a character I already liked before, I love you Matthew Lillard). Like, it was really exciting to see this movie after years and years of waiting, I remember still being a little 11 year old girl and playing pirated FNAF games with the risk of viruses, like, seriously, I even watched videos on YouTube of cosplays and gameplays. So much so that the ones I watched most were "Pirate Cove", "Huestation" and "Core" (all are Brazilian YouTubers).

But well, moving on from my little (big) childhood obsession, let's go to the links I got.

The fact that people romanticize this and ignore how much Ford suffered just to defend the ship!

Ford's arc in the Book of Bill is literally how he overcame the trauma of the abusive ex-partner who ruined his life, and how Ford learned to not be consumed by that fear through the help of his family and IF I NEED TO BE THE ONLY ONE WRITING TUMBLR THINKPIECES ON IT, I'LL DO IT, BUT WHY AREN'T MORE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THIS?!?!?!?!?!

Bill literally lays out how he preyed on Ford's insecurities and his quirks, how he saw Ford as the perfect candidate for Bill to take full advantage of, and how Bill purposefully did what he could to convince Ford that NO ONE ELSE WOULD LOVE HIM if he got rid of Bill, that he was nothing without him.

And it's the story of how Ford overcame, how Ford shot Bill with a shotgun and spat on the ground where he stood, how Ford does everything he can to warn the reader before realizing that Bill is not an all-powerful being to be feared, but a sad pathetic man. Bill is charismatic, but he's not a god. He's just someone Ford can leave behind.

It's not even subtext, it's text. It's a story told with queer undertones, with the language of abuse built in. AND NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT THIS?

Okay, I knew this would happen, that someone would say this. First, liking a character doesn't mean you support what he does or agree with what he does.

And second, what I said is about fans romanticizing Ford's relationship with Bill, ignoring the suffering that Ford went through and making the couple seem cute and that nothing is wrong.

If you were offended by what I said in my post, I apologize as my intention was not to offend but just to present my opinion.
