So if you know me you probably know I've had just a little bit of a Radio Tapok obsession for a while. Just a little bit. And I decided it's probably time to figure out what is going on in Халхин-Гол.

So naturally I watched the music video and then pulled up some translated lyrics like ok yeah that was easy enough I have a general idea now

But what tripped me up was the tanks shown in said music video

Like this. You see that?

My first thought was "oh that's a BT of some kind. 2 or 5 or 7 they're all pretty similar". Easy.

But there's one problem with that. It has roller wheels.

And of every single image I could find of a BT-2, a BT-5, BT-7, hell even A-20 and A-32, not a single one had roller wheels.

It was officially founded in 1703, and if you know me you're probably thinking "oh god not again" and yeah you'd be right

It was originally a fortress called Nyenskans built by Sweden in 1611 when they had a lot more baltic territory

Eventually Russia got sick of not having any baltic ports and in 1703 Peter I captured the town that had been built around it and rebuilt the fortress and even declared it the capital city for a while

Very fun innit

Lemme nerd out for a hot minute

This is LZ38. The first German airship to bomb London during WW1. You can tell it's LZ38 cause it has a big LZ38 painted on the side.

This is the route it took during the May 31 raid (from Ian Castle's 'The First Blitz') As you can see, I counted each bomb it dropped, giving us a total of 80.

This website called bombsawayuxo.com says each bomb would have weighed 10kg

Multiply that by 80 and the zeppelin dropped 800kg of bombs

Equal to about 0.9 US tons

Wikipedia says a typical load for this airship (yes it has it's own page) is 16,200kg

Equal to about 17.9 US tons

I converted it into tons because of this screenshot from the national archives lesson material

Which says zeppelins could carry up to 2 tons of bombs

SO

Conclusion A: If LZ38 only dropped a fraction of the available bomb load (17.9 tons), the national archives is incorrect.

Conclusion B: If the zeppelins could only carry up to 2 tons of bombs, LZ38 can still drop 0.9 tons on London, making Wikipedia incorrect.

Considering the other two highlighted statements in the NA screenshot I've already disproven, I think the third statement is also wrong and Wiki is correct
