Char, who knows what Papa does and doesn't seem at all bothered by Anya, and Matt- being an underworld superpower- would 100% know that Yor and Loid were Thorn Princess and Twilight, and would tease the fuck out of them (w/o exposing them bcuz that'd be RUDE)\\

Something to note, is that Matt is honestly mildly terrified of Mattie. I know, how's this 6'2" brick wall of a man scared of a 5'7" tiny twink? Well, it's mostly because Mattie is... far more mentally unstable than Matt is. It took him a long time to get comfortable with the idea of taking a life, despite being around death when he was still a child, but he hadn't taken a life with his own hands until he was 16, almost 17.

Mattie killed when he was 12. Yes, the circumstances were far different, having killed his father in self-defense, but the fact remains that he took a life deliberately. Sure, in fights he'd sooner run than attack, but that's not to say he wont. Actually, when he was 13, he was often one to fight back, because he had no trust in the world... it was kill or be killed, and he didn't survive his own personal hell just to be killed and left in a ditch. It wasn't until his later teens that he finally started truly showing restraint and would flee.

Not to mention many other parts of Mattie's... mild obsessions, like with poisons, toxins, and anatomy. He trusts Mattie to be a faithful right hand... but he won't deny that the boy genuinely scares and worries him. He knows Mattie is one truly bad day from snapping, and becoming a genuine threat... and he knows he himself couldn't stop him. Not because he can't, but because he can't bring himself to.

Charlotte beamed at the idea of a tour, quickly agreeing and moving to carefully climb out of the bed, holding Crys to keep herself steady. Mainly, she was curious of the 'beautiful place' the other mentioned, but would be patient as she let her wobbly legs adjust to standing.

Matt was in the kitchen, preparing himself a coffee as he listened to Crys speak to the child. Honestly, he wasn't sure what to do with her... on one hand, bringing her almost anywhere was a risk to her safety, but on the other, he could get into a lot of trouble with the courts if they found out he was housing a fae child. There's a reason he's not allowed in their territories, after his rounds as a young vampire... but that was to worry about later.

For now, he kept his distance, partly to keep them comfortable, and partly to steel himself. Though it didn't help that he's been feeling... off. Jumping at shadows in the corner of his eye, and his mind anxious over seemingly nothing... man, he really did need to take a break or something at this rate. If Crys's safety and now the child, wasn't a top priority, he'd take a good week or so and stay in his cousin's district or something.

"I see our young ward is doing well." He greeted them as he prepared Crys and Charlotte something to drink. Charlotte of course felt nervous at the tall man, and carefully hid behind Crys for now.

“Oh…” The little girl was quiet as Crys explained a bit more about the vampires. She didn’t mean to trouble the household! But she was thankful, both to the woman beside her and ‘Mister Matt’. At the prospect of walking she perked up a little, having long been antsy to finally get out of the bed.

“A-A walk would be really nice…”
