Due to farms having to deal with coyotes, foxes and hawks etc attacking livestock. Has there been any injuries fending them off? 

This takes place after the farm move, but before Prototype came to live with the group, so... First month of farm life!

Yet another scar

Dogday whimpered, staring away from Delight's hands. She sighed in response, holding a cloth now wet with blood. His open wound seemed to pulse, and it hurt like hell. Not the same he faced when his lower half was torn apart, but it was still awful.

"Stop twitching, Oskar", Delight ordered. "It's going to hurt more if you keep on like this!"

"I know– ouch!"

He almost said a swear as he shivered.

"Oskar?"

He looked up to Catnap, who was fidgeting with a stress ball. The feline's tail moved in an anxious movement, not calming down even when Angel gently petted his shoulders. His leg was covered in bandages and he had a nasty cut on his back, but nothing more. Lucky him.

Lucky him...

"Oskar!"

"Warn me when you try to put a new product on my skin!", Dogday growled at Delight. She grunted. "Katherine!"

"I warned you!"

"Kids!"

The two immediately stopped bickering, both turning their heads to Angel. Dogday fidgeted, sighing. "Sorry, mom".

"You two need to calm down", Angel added, massaging the back of their head. "You gave me the scare of my life..."

"We weren't expecting the coyotes", Dogday responded, biting his own tongue as Delight continued to clean his wound. "But they were nothing, mom, I promise you. I went through much worse".

"You going through worse doesn't undo your wounds, pup. You were lucky Catnap heard you!"

The feline didn't dare move. Angel kept on saying things about how Dogday should have just called for help instead of facing the group alone, even if it was to protect the sheep, and he silently listened. Or at least tried to.

When Catnap finally stared at his eyes, Dogday smiled. Thank you, is what he wanted to say, but didn't have to. Catnap headbonked Angel's shoulder, and they stopped their ramble to give him a hug. "I'm glad you two are safe".

"Me too", Dogday agreed. The other critter purred, nodding along.

This was progress, he thought.

Maybe the day where Oskar could call Theo his best friend without a hint of bittersweet feelings was closer than he ever expected it to be.

THE TOM AND JERRY SCREAM–

Okay so I can't sleep so lore time

Willow's weapon is a case iron frying pan. She is an axolotl smiling critter. The smiling critters have 3 forms: the animal one we see in the game, a human one with animal features like ears and a tail , and finally, their cartoon form, which can shift into their critter.

At the end of the chase with mommy long legs, mommy gets knocked out by the frying pan then when the claw comes, Willow hits it with the frying pan and we get a cartoon scream like when Tom from Tom and Jerry.

Kickin now makes mini pirate ships out of whatever material he finds. He deserves to film himself trying to make a ship out of scrap metal and wood! And I think it would be SO funny as well.

I think he sometimes goes on a rant about rationing food for a decade and how he doesn't want anyone in his audience having to do that. He tells many jokes about being immune to food poisoning thanks to what was available for him to eat at PlayCo. as well. Then he eats rotten meat in Minecraft...

IRONICALLY I WASN'T THINKING ABOUT PROMETHEUS SHIP. I WAS THINKING ABOUT A BUTCH OC AND HER FEMME WIFE. You guys are going to hear about them now (grabs PowerPoint presentation)

Sofia is the femme wife/Belle. Super normal human woman who used to work as a math teacher until girlie got sent to the shadowrealm and decided to stay there. Found a group of monstrous children and, after hitting their mother with a sandal in the face and demanding her to not be so rude to others, accidentally kickstarting the beginning of a romcom. She's a cutie, super gentle, kind and soft-spoken, but by the time she ends up in said shadowrealm she's very tired and doesn't care about speaking out her mind as much as before. This 1,53 meters woman is going to change everything.

Desfigura is the queen of said shadowrealm/Beast. Very old, sometimes finds a lost kid in there and adopts them because she has a soft spot for the little ones. An eldritch monstrosity made of pure red and with a golden cage for a stomach, this girlie is the boss and she KNOWS it. Very rude, doesn't have much patience, and totally not dealing with some heavy emotional garbage. As the leader of the shadowrealm it is her duty to keep the monsters inside safe, and thus she works a lot, leaving her kids to be babysat by Lobo and Sofia. This woman is capital b Butch and totally not a womanizer.

Anyways, Sofia and Desfigura are going to have a "not exactly enemies but worse than rivals to lovers" arc. Beauty and the Beast AU is Sofia deciding to live in an abandoned castle and putting the "beast" living inside on her place so she will learn some MANNERS, DAMN IT, WHY IS IT SOOO HARD FOR HER TO JUST SAY "EXCUSE ME"?

Anyways BatB AU with Prometheus ship is just normal Poppy Worldwide AU /j /will infodump about this if asked

Semi-comprehensible list of family relationships in the Poppy Worlwide AU:

EVERYONE considers Angel to be the mother/father of the toys, including Prototype/Elliot himself and the people outside the family

Prototype is Poppy and Catnap's adoptive father, and he's the closest with them. With enough time, all the other toys also start to refer to him as a father, but this is a process that takes years

Angel and the Prototype are married, but not on paper

Although the toys all share Angel (and eventually Elliot) as their parental figure, not all of them see each other as siblings. It's very important to note that the typical blood family relationships can't always describe what they all have, and this is okay. They are still a valid family, etc etc.

With that out of the way, Poppy and Catnap refer to each other as siblings. They do the same when talking about Kissy, Picky and Delight

Delight, Poppy, Dogday, Long Legs and Bubba are considered to be the older siblings. Not because of actual age, they just know what they are doing most of the time

Bunzo, Boxy Boo and Huggy are the youngest kids. Bunzo for actually being 11 y/o and the other two for being permanently stuck at 7 y/o

The mini huggies are also age locked, being 8 y/o

The mini critters and all other small toys are not age locked unless I change my mind all of a sudden

Mini huggies see Huggy and Kissy as the cool older siblings

Mini critters see Catnap as their cool older sibling, and eventually this extends to the other Smiling Critters

Boxy Boo and Hoppy are brother and sister

Hoppy sees Kickin as her annoying younger brother. He sees her as his annoying younger sister. They love each other (gen)

Kickin and Dogday share a very close brother relationship

Crafty and Bubba also refer to each other as sister and brother. Bobby and Bubba also use sister and brother when referring to each other

Long Legs is the closest with Picky and Delight, but after making amends with Poppy they also become close and love annoying each other

Bunzo is basically Long Legs' little annoying brother, and he loves copying what she's doing.

Dogday and Catnap are a couple!!!

I remembered the post about alcohol tastes and was wondering what are your views on whether or not the toys mature? I've seen some people calling catnap a minor and just want your opinion.

I like to think some of them can mentally age, and all of them minus Poppy can die of old age. The game never tells nor show us any hints at them aging or not post-becoming toys, so this is all my personal headcanons. Honestly, I doubt the game will ever confirm anything to us about this! As long as people don't think their headcanons are canon and accuse each other of things, we as a fandom can just live with that.

Also! The main artist for the Smiling Critters has a hc where their cartoon versions are all kids, but we should all remember that their ages were left ambiguous. Even when an artist says so, if Mob doesn't confirm it, we can't take their word as reality! This may be where some people are getting the idea Catnap is a minor.

You're so right, actually!!!!! He does seem to be this exact type of dad!!!! And the idea of him telling stories of his youth to the toys is so adorable and in-character to me. I can imagine the family gathering up around him in order to hear it 😭

THE PROTOTYPE/EXPERIMENT 1006/ELLIOT LUDWIG IN THE SAVE EVERYONE AU! Wow, that was... A lot, I gotta say.

Some notes that didn't make the cut:

Angel started referring to him as "Elliot" around one year and a half post-rescue;

Elliot doesn't mind being referred to as the Prototype/"Proto", but prefers to NOT be called "Experiment 1006";

He starts out having a lot more reds in his color palette, the opposite of Angel's green clothes and eyes, and slowly shifts back to his favorite color: Navy Blue!

His post-rescue-but-not-yet-clothed form looks lacking on purpose, as it's an in-between stage where he's just very emotionally vulnerable and confused and with no idea on who or what he should be now;

He doesn't like leaving the farm, but those who have followed the news know he exists, just like all the other toys. Farm visitors sometimes forget he looks like a legit monster instead of a cartoony toy like the others, though;

A family man at heart, yes, but ALSO an inventor. He makes prosthetics for all the toys that want one;

He's actually afraid of losing his wedding ring because there's a slight chance his hand may fall off. He can put it back together, no biggie, but finding a tiny ring is hard!
