Here I have a bit more of a modern entry for #coupeweek by @carsrob with this effortlessly beautiful Lexus LC. I'd argue that this is the most beautiful car on sale currently! Introduced in 2016 at the North American Motorshow and going Intro production in 2017, the LC was proposed to be Lexus' flagship Coupe model being based on the 2012 Lexus LF-LC concept. This was aimed to be Lexus' indirect replacement for the SC which ran from 1999 to 2010. LC stands for luxury coupe and it certainly lives up to the name. The interior is a capsule of luxurious leather and beautiful design reflecting the exterior (interior pic not of this car). This Terrane Khaki exterior is perfectly matched with the interior (pic 2) called Toasted Caramel. Now, on to the performance which the LC is no where near short of. Lexus offers two engine choices for the LC, a fuel sipping hybrid 3.5L V6 or a gas guzzling naturally-aspirated 5.0L V8 which this car sadly doesn't have. The V8 pumps out a healthy 467HP which is connected to a 10-Speed Automatic which boosts this car to 60MPH is just 4.6 seconds. I believe this will be the first Peugeot 206 submission to #PeugeotWeek by @elli.carspotting. I spotted this colourful pair of 206s on the same day and thought they would be perfect for this week. I have a soft spot for the little 206 and I try and photograph every one I see because I bet these will be as rare as hens teeth in a couple of years. The example in the first picture is from late 2001 and is in average condition which features some Halfords hubcaps, fuel filler cap rust and some bird excrement. These 'early' 51-plates are hard to come by these days but don't forget, these began production in 1998! I find it very hard to believe that this car is 20-years old, I would say its ageing like fine wine, but it's sure damn close. This mid range 'Style' model features a driver airbag which was an option (or standard, trim level dependant) for the 206, atleast for the earlier model years and is also coloured in the rather dull Patagonia Green which I suspect needs a good polish. The second photo features a later 2003 'Entice' coloured in Recife Blue, quite a common shade for the 206 and 307 from this era. This Entice model also had side airbags as standard! Also they are both locally registered. Here's a sporty start to @carspotting_alex #90scarsweek with this immaculate, first generation Honda Integra Type-R with its original Chatham Honda dealer plates with just 60k miles on the clock. It wouldn't surprise me if this was one of the last in its condition. One of my favourite spots from the car park of the Capesthorne Hall car show. The Integra was one of many 90s sporty coupes with direct rivals like the Toyota Celica and less direct ones like the Ford Cougar. Another gem for #90scarsweek by @carspotting_alex also from the Capesthorne Hall car park is this lovely Vauxhall Vectra, again, like the Integra, with its original Vantagd Vauxhall of Timperly dealer plates. Pretty sure this colour is Rio Green, and what a nice one it is and I bet there aren't many left in this colour. Here is the full flesh of the teaser I posted on my story earlier. A remarkable, early Peugeot 406 Phase I with spectacular, original hubcaps and old style reg plate. With 122,000 miles on the clock its not doing to bad either, probably a significant about less than on some other 406's out there. I've always had a soft spot for the 406, they just look right, everything I perfect and in the right place. An impeccable low mileage Citroen C5 Wagon for #thedayafterfrenchfriday which has just 25k miles on the clock. I actually couldn't believe the mileage when when checked it and I bet this is the lowest mileage one in the country. Here is a very nice example of a car that you probably won't see in 5 years time. A lovely Renault Clio MK2 Phase II which is by far my favourite Clio. I have had a lot of experience with these Clio, my mum had one exactly like this which she bought new in 2003 (MF53 EKN) and passed it on to my grandad in 2006 when she replaced it with a MK5 Golf TDI. Kicking off both #peugeotweek and #endangeredspeciesweek by @car_ravioli and @elli.carspotting with this wonderful, early 90s Peugeot 309. I spotted this a couple of weeks ago behind Toyota's Stockport Dealership and to my surprise, the street also had a Saab 9-5 and old Volvo Estate. And what great condition this 309 is in with its original gold pinstriping and unfaded Rouge Plaisir paint; such a time capsule with just 25k miles! The 309 was a small family car made by Peugeot from 1985 through 1994. It was originally intended to be badged as the Talbot Arizona but PSA decided to discontinue the brand in 1985 leaving this to be badged as a Peugeot. It was available as a 4-door hatch like this one, or a 3-door hatch. The 309 was also available with a plethora of engine choices ranging from a Simca derived 1.1L to a 1.9L Petrol which was used in the GTi model. In 1986 the diesel engines were added into the lineup, ranging from a 1.8L to a 1.9L.
