Furrmiliars? They’re some sort of Furby knockoff that uses solid holograms and magic cores to generate an outer skin instead of using fur.

Are you in any way familiar with the Portal 2 fanfiction Blue Sky? Wait… Nevermind, forget I said that.

Are you familiar with the bridges in Portal 2 that are canonically made using sunlight.

They work kind of like that but also not at all.

My brother was in the modding scene for those when they got really popular a few years ago. Something about the hologram technology made it very easy to program new animal bodies and personalities into them.
