Hogwarts University is nestled in the northern suburb of Hogsmeade, England. While prestigious, Hogwarts has a reputation for its abnormal curriculums in everything from the arts to comp-sci. A recent expanse of the scholarship program has opened the doors of the once exclusive University to many new, deserving, students. Dispite protests and predictions to the contrary from wealthy parents and alumni, school rankings have gone up since the expanse. Data many of its objectors refuse to accept. This group has forced a hearing with the University board at the end of the year. Should they get their way, which they often do, the program would be shut down. Though they insist that their aim is not to remove the new students, that would be the exact result of their success. The year is 2018, and the second years of Hogwarts University have returned for their fall term. The students hold varying degrees of awareness about the impending storm hanging over their school. However, no matter their status, there is a new strain upon their relationships making itself more and more apparent. Divisions, once just below the surface, are making themselves completely unignorable, even to the most determinedly obtuse. And students are taking sides. Mobile Navigation

Is the dash difficult to keep up with, or can you read other's threads as well without having to be online 24/7?
Hey Anon! We don’t have a huge number of players, so I think it’s pretty doable to keep up with other threads, which I really enjoy! Also, all of our players are super nice and connecting with them and asking about what their plots are is easy!

would shay mitchell work nadia?
Hey Anon!
Nadia’s surname is Jin, which is a Chinese, Japanese, and Korean name, so we’d like to see FCs of those ethnicities for her. From what I could find Shay has Filipina and Scottish and Irish heritage, so she wouldn’t fi for Nadia.
I could personally see Shay as Emma Vanity or Charity Burbage, but I’d be open to seeing her as other characters as well!

Hey Anon! So glad to hear you are interested in Nadia, I adore her!
Mary Sarah will not actually work for Nadia because she is created as a character of color, specifically, she is Chinese. This is non-negotiable both because we want to have diverse representation and because Jin is a Chinese surname. If you’d like some alternate FC’s of Chinese descent we can certainly help with that. Here is a question with some good guidelines for requesting an FC change. One thing we did not say there is that the reason we are open to changing white FC to people of color and not the other way around it that we have a majority of white characters and the majority of Canon characters are white.

Incest is on your tagged trigger list, does that mean it's going to be featured in the plot? As in will there be incestuous ships or backstories or is it just to be safe and having it on the trigger list in a better safe then sorry way?
#That like all of the trigger warnings on our list is purely a better-safe-than-sorry measure! All character based plots such as anything involving incest would come from our players themselves and are expected to be tagged accordingly.
Also, this gives me the opportunity to make a related announcement: please put the trigger phrase first in your tag so that Tumblr can catch it. This means #trigger tw (or another variant such as backslashes) rather than #tw: trigger. I recently found out this is how Tumblr sorts tags and wanted to pass the information along to our players!

ATTENTION STUDENTS!
On Saturday, January 20th Hogwarts University is holding the first ball of the new year! In the spirit of unity, this winter ball will be a Masquerade! Come alone, hide your identity, and mingle with your fellow students again as if for the first time!
This event will take place on the Dash and in Chatzy, a link for which will be posted in the OoC Chat. The event will go on for 24 hours, though dash threads may continue after that. In order to continue relationship development between characters, this event is paired with a Task. Each player will be randomly assigned a partner, and pairs will be given a starter prompt before the event to inspire a plot. Pairs can decide if that plot takes place before, during, or after the ball, and how it affects the characters and their relationship. These plots should be posted on the dash in any form chosen by the pairs.
