As usual he takes the path of most compromise and avoids taking a stand so that he appeals to as many people as possible.

Genocide isn't like social security or taxes, there's no compromise, you have to take a side. Either you're against the extermination of a people or you're in favour of it, you can't have a little bit, as a treat.

Meanwhile, people’s data is being sold to the highest bidder, because this new law is bypassing all our own data protection legislation. I checked what achievements are available when I was new to the game, saw 'Boss Form - Defeat the final boss' and I spent my entire playthrough worried David Most was going to show up at the house. This led to me feeling tense whenever I climbed back up the crawlspace ladder, feeling like one of these days there's going to be somebody standing in the doorway.

So to now complete the game and realise you are never in any danger, from David or the Department of Overseas Violence, and that the achievement is essentially just 'complete the game with a decent ending' is making me laugh. Guess you can't say I wasn't immersed in the tenser parts of the game.
