I am always thinking about every line of dialogue in the first 50 seconds of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.

Everyone who didn't like that I would talk about the minutiae of my special interests, especially if it either A) contradicted their more surface level opinions or B) meant that I was monologuing for too long. Growing up I would be told "getting to the point" was more important than the journey of explaining my reasoning - which probably one of the reasons I've ended up returning to University for continued studies, where the abstract and conclusion are vastly smaller than the HOLY SHIT DID YOU SEE WHAT I FOUND? part of my research.

Pillars of Eternity begins with you, a tummy ache survivor, becoming a System and then realizing that just because people stopped colonizing the country doesn't mean God stopped and and then Matt Mercer plays another System whose headmate tells a guy to fuck his sister.

Oh look, the consequences of your actions.
That's fucking rare.
AI industry groups are urging an appeals court to block what they say is the largest copyright class action ever certified. They’ve warned that a single lawsuit raised by three authors over Anthropic’s AI training now threatens to “financially ruin” the entire AI industry if up to 7 million claimants end up joining the litigation and forcing a settlement.
well…darn

What I love is that we DO answer her, albeit not when she needs to hear it (maintaining the emotional tragedy you're discussing) and also not in the form of words.
When we meet her again, at the core of the Mothercrystal, and she asks us the question once more - triggering a fight - the song that plays, is called "Your Answer."
The song itself is a variation of the song Answers, the lyrics of which inspired much of Endwalker's plot and themes (we know it happened this way around as Yoshi-P claimed Ishikawa made multiple significant plot changes at the last minute during pre-production). It speaks to the inevitability of the choices she made - they had to be made, they are a comfort to her, perhaps a comfort too late, from the only person who can understand. And they are, at last, an answer that the Sundered fragments of Azem still live up to the ideals she holds so dearly, the ideals that led her to make that impossible choice in the first place.
We have walked to paradise and drawn our swords, and fought a joyous battle with a woman desperate for that joy. To quote Emet-Selch, "That is our answer, and the answer of all those who live on Eitherys"
Thinking about the conversation with Venat where she asks if our journey was good and if it was worthwhile. I think a part some people overlooked is that she's asking us, like. "Hi, you are both the beginning and end of this decision that you're telling me that I make. In the end: was it worth it?"
Of course she's also asking us, adventurer to adventurer, Azem to Azem, did you enjoy the journey? But she's also asking us, I think, whether or not this decision she's about to make will be a good one
And we don't answer her.
