Holoki is a tiefling arcane trickster. He has two found families. He was my first D&D character and I didn't even get to play him much but he remained a treasured NPC forever. Sometimes I make up new lore for him. This was his account, but it turned into nerdy reblogs and that's good enough... so yeah, Hol says hi.

I love how Jasnah and shallan are sisters in law and this is never acknowledged.
I like to imagine shallan, during her time being annoyed at her warship with Jasnah was like “technically we’re sisters so you shouldn’t be able to tell me what to do” and Jasnah is like “Yeah because I would never try to tell elhokar what to do, that would be crazy”

“Adolin?” Kaladin said as he changed. “Your first thought was to get Adolin?”
“I needed someone you couldn’t intimidate,” she replied. “That list at best includes three people. And the queen was likely to transform you into a crystal goblet or something.”
TRESPASSERS WILL BE SOULCAST

Nine would have thought Martha Jones was the coolest person in the world. Doesn’t even matter where in the timeline this was or what happened to Rose, he would have loved her leather jacket and her hairstyle. He would have loved that she was a DOCTOR! Her studying to be a doctor was so overlooked and he would have loved it. He would have thought she was the coolest person alive. Nine and Donna would have killed each other on sight

chapters from kaladin's perspective: "The storm was a primal dance, an ancient song, an eternal battle that had raged since Roshar was new."
chapters from someone else's perspective, looking at kaladin: "Kaladin grunted."

bill is so funny to me. like clara knew what genre she was in but bill? homegirl is clearly living in an indie coming-of-age queer college movie and the doctor keeps trying to get her to help him defeat horrors. she's got an essay to write. girls to kiss. she doesn't have time for this shit man.

Jasnah was so determined to hide her Radiance from everyone that she never realized her brother was going through the same thing.
Jasnah got locked away as a child and labeled a lunatic. Come adulthood and everyone regarded her brother as insane and paranoid.
Do you think she ever thought about that? Has it ever haunted her? Was she so desperate to hold onto her identity as the poised and logical Kholin that she never actually noticed how badly her family was hurting? How much her father hated everyone around him? How miserable her mother was in her marriage and her flimsy sense of self-confidence? How utterly set up for failure her brother was?
