hey India, I know you’re not super active in the fandom anymore so feel free to ignore me, but I wanted to ask how you managed to stick around through 2021, 2022, 2023 and well, up until now? I kind of left out of the fandom in 2019 and looking back at everything, it was chaotic 😂. Like, I’m asking because even though there was a lot of content, it seems Harry really closed off more than he already had before—like “he had no personality, or it was too curated,” quoting what I read. Didn’t you ever struggle with that? With the fact that he kind of blended in or kept so much to himself?

I'm gonna be real honest with you guys, cause this circular discussion is getting fucking tiresome.

I genuinely do not know how you guys -- with the full awareness of all the abuse the boys suffered through in One Direction, largely due to what an over exposed social media experiment their lives were required to be -- can call yourselves fans if you're begrudging Harry what little privacy he's managed to claw back for himself.

Sorry if that's harsh, but it's true. If you don't think it's entirely earned that a man who has had to fucking install a panic button in his public house to protect himself from the two break-ins he's suffered and had to go to court for, has decided to staunchly and devotedly compartmentalize his public and private lives, I think you're a bad fan and you don't view him as human, or have a care in the world for his mental health and safety.

If you don't think Harry's boundaries are entirely a good and necessary thing, if you've played into this "it means he's fake" narrative and cast his boundaries as this villainous persona he's adopted because you think he's somehow depriving you of the access to him that you feel so desperately entitled to, then you don't want him to be healthy and you don't want him to have longevity in his career. End of.

So I think it's time you ask yourselves honestly, do you care about him or do you only care about consuming him? And if the answer is the latter, then find someone else.
