I feel like that ship feels kinda wrong to me as well bc of rati/os microaggressions towards aven.. I would def like it more if that didnt happen, but it soured my opinion on the ship a lot

i think its fair to not be comfortable with that yah. it also makes me think about how the english translation for a lot of dr ratio's lines are specifically different in tone than the others? like the line dr ratio says when u add aventurine to his team, dr ratio in korean/chinese/japanese is more polite and is like "dont worry about me" but the english one hes more aggressive and tells aventurine to keep to himself? I feel like their dynamic is supposed to be "dr ratio cares about aventurine but also puts his foot in his mouth a lot" but they made it extra rude in the english version for some reason...
