I write about adventure time at enchiridiontime.blogspot.com (currently on a hiatus bc of college) and I mostly use this blog for writing. if I follow you it'll be by the username "hootboots"
I think the other goal was the politicization of the Master - making him sort of an analogue for new labour and more specifically Tony Blair also, I imagine, changed the character quite a bit
the main thing I’ve discovered is that almost every issue with Simm’s characterisation can be traced back to RTD deciding insanity was the lens through which the whole character should be viewed
Last week I was sitting around and decided to see if I could animate… so I made this gif of Portal 2 Chell.
It was SO MUCH FUN. I don’t think I’ll be able to resist doing more nnngg. (wow I had to wrestle with this to get Tumblr to accept it sorry if the quality is kinda bad I have no clue what I am doing)
There’s a new thing on the site! Which falls less in the “overwrought analysis” and more in the “bitchy Discourse with a capital D” category on the spectrum of DoWntime post, but …
Some people really like Steven Moffat. So, when there’s a new sheriff in town as far as mainstream Moffat discourse is concerned, especially when said person peddles quite strange narratives, these people might be tempted to launch themselves in a big retrospective covering at the same time the problems with most critiques of Sherlock, the actual flaws of the show and its writers, and the aesthetics and problematic aspects of YouTube discourse.
These people are, in this case, me and the most brilliant William Shaw (https://williamshawwriter.wordpress.com/); who each contributed two essays to that project. This right here is the first one, penned by Will, and tackling the confronting visions of Sherlock and the divide between writers and audience.

Every time I saw the new outfit with the sleeves I kept thinking I recognized the look from somewhere. Then someone made the comparison.
I don’t think Twelve’s regeneration aesthetic is an accident.
This is obviously anecdotal, but I remember getting participation trophies for my mediocre 2nd grade soccer team, and also for pretty much every science fair project. Counterpoint: I don't think it fucked me up at all and there are many other aspects of the american education system that fucked me and many others up much more thoroughly.
Finally getting around to watching the animated power of the daleks. Very weird thinking that this is going to be the standard way of experiencing this story in the future considering it lives in my head as a loose cannon recon.
My stupid internet platonism theory is that all sites in the vein of reddit/tumblr/twitter are distorted reflections of 4chan, the void at the center of the internet
