like a dog with a mangled leg

i'm slowly nipping at the wounds

chewing away the parts of me that touched you (03.09.25)

there's two sides to every coin

you just got good at

having your's land on heads (03.18.25)

i will continue to steep myself in my truth

until the bitterness is almost too much to swallow

until i can finally gulp down the dregs of a love

that was sweetened by illusion

and poisoned by reality (03.18.25)

and i'm craving those four bare walls

the house that never felt like home

except for the times

that our love roared so loud

that the colours seeped out of the paint

all at once (03.18.25)

our ghosts are haunting

the hollow space between my ribs

the vacancy once filled

by a love that burned so hot

it torched the ground under our feet

may we both plant new seeds

in the soil that was forced into creation

with the incineration of

what could have been (03.22.25)

there's initials etched into my molecules

j's and w's floating through my bloodstream

follicles interwoven

punching through the skin untouched by you

i made my escape

but my body keeps the score (04.09.25)

you taught me love

but also how to shiver

the kind of cold that snaps bones

snagging on chapped skin

breaking flesh (04.09.25)

am i allowed to miss you?

because i don't love you anymore

can't pretend to like you either

but i still remember your laugh

and how it felt to decay (04.09.25)

i have the urge

to travel to cities you're never been to

see your favourite artists

play live on stage

sing along to all the words

and spite your name (05.09.25)

i remember that i used to love you

it seeped from my pores

dripped down my skin

but everything is blurry now

i can't seem to make the pieces fit (05.20.25)

i wanted a lifetime

i just didn't expect it to feel like a prison sentence

with no chance of parole (05.21.25)
